Don't have a digital camera or a scanner, so I can't show you a sunset from North Carolina. But I have found a sunset from my dream home.

That is a bad picture. They used a disposable camera. ;)
You guys do have pretty scenery because of the rain!!!!Quote:

A+ artwork! You forgot the sun's hat though. Everyone knows the sun should have his hat on. Also a rainbow would have added to the experienceQuote:

The sun never sets on the glory that is Australia:rolleyes:

Well for once it wasn't raining, so there wasn't a rainbow and the sun didn't need a hat. that's why he's so happy, he hates his hat but his mum always makes him wear it if it's raining

Firstly i'd like to say to vBulletin STOP REPLACING MY ****ING THREADS. Now I'm calm.
When the sun has got his hat on, you'd be hard pressed to find scenery as pretty or quaint. But when it buckets down, it's just dull and grey.
As the American in the British Airways advert said, "You get more rain in a year than Borneo, yet the minute it stops, they hit ya with a hose-pipe ban".
that is soooo true!!!

What lovely pictures of Hastings. I also have no digital camera which is a shame... I can post a (very large) time lapse of a Sunset from Farnborough, though I think that it would be too big to upload onto the Forum! :(
Watch it pal.
We don't get sunsets round here because the scallies from Salford nicked the sun.
are you beeing sarcastic squirrel boy ;)
No he's not, I am.
Well, if you want Manchester then here it is. It's taken from our office window and that's about as good as the weather gets. You'll notice the lack of a sun but apparently there is one but it's scared to come out from behind those clouds in case it's nicked.
I was working up in machester in Nov,Dec and January and I must admit that the weather was actually quite pleasent, Alot better than I expected. :)
I have no problem with Manchester at all.... I have been there many times.. I was being Sarcastic... I'm sure its a lovely place... I apologise. I mean every place has it's good and bad points!
Oh I see, slating my home town of hastings..... Only kiding mate, There are quite a few parts of hastings that are a complete dive filled with pikies, but as you said every place has good and bad things :)
Paul - is your office on picadilly gardens? I'm trying to work out your location from the photo.
Yep. If you look at Picadilly then it's the really big ugly concrete tower above the bus station, Sunley Tower.
oh, the big concrete ***** - wow. Who do you work for? I have a friend (well, I speak to her every 6 months or so) who works in there for one of the mobile phone companies (I can't remember whether it's vodafone or orange).
The Big Concrete *****? Don't say things like that Katie might get excited!!! :D
I don't work for a mobile company but there is one called Club Mobile on the floor(s) below us. I work for an IT company called TWS who do solutions for the travel industry.
One of the perks of the ***** ( way hay ) is the view. The other is that, er, erm ... I'll come back to you on that one ( NO pun intended ). No, no I remember, it's only a five minute walk to the train station. Now if we could open the window to pour water on passers by - that would be good. We're on the 25th floor and could create a local weather system of localised showers.
That is very beautiful Ian! What a great place to live........even with the rain!!!!!!!!!Quote:
like most place, Hastings is nice to visit, but living here is a different story. we've got one of the worst economical problems in the southt east.
Too bad......it is picture perfect!
Yeah, it is pretty place and has a hell of a lot of hertiage what with the battle and the fishing community. In victorian times we were the most popular destination for everyone who was anyone in London. But since the 60's the town has been slowly going down hill. Most of those pictures are of the oldtown which is very pretty.
I still love the town though, as I was born and bred here
:)
That's beautiful too annie!Quote:

Same for Hastings in NZ, though they have never fought a battle there.
F.Y.I
Hastings is in the Hawkes Bay province of New Zealand and is named after the place in England. Currently a centre for Wine growing, fruit growing, and as a destination for people who like art deco stuff. It got wiped out in a 30s earth quake, and the whole place has these really nice art deco buildings. Of course they will probably pull them all down and replace with concrete and glass.
Jethro - I know you're taking the p*ss and I ain't rising to it ;)
Neil - nice to see you again. Have you accepted that job yet ?
Yes thanks....how's things going???:DQuote:

:D GOOD :D
Glad to see you're going to be joining the grown-up world and leaving those smelly students to wallow in poverty.
This place is about a million times better than the old one. I'm not saying that to put you off, you obviously enjoyed your year out but it wasn't for me, I HAD TO get out. This was the right move at the right time.
Well, got to go and do some work now, see you later.
Jethro
Would that be when United lost (Again)

You managed to ensure your collection of kegs was not in the frame.
If you look real closely you can see the liquor bar in the treehouse. ;)
