I thought that I would start a Thread devoted to those cartoons that have entered the Archives and not been heard from for so long...
The Ninja Turtles have been discussed recently.
But what about those cartoons that are long forgotten:
Jace and the Wheeled Warriors
The Lost Cities of Gold
Dogtanian
Thundercats
To name but a few, can anyone think of any others that should be put into the Cartoon hall of fame!
Ulysses (in the 31st Century?)

I also want The Dreamstone series repeated. Those incredibly stupid bad guys with the insane plots to get the dreamstone (the ones with atrocious Birmingham accents) made me wet myself every time!
I'm going to have a look and see if I can find them on DVD or something...

Mysterious Cities of Gold was top too.
I remember watching these on a black and white TV. thats how long ago it all was.

Thundercats weren't bad, but :

Now that was a cartoon.
I really wish that they would release The Mysterious Cities of Gold on Video or DVD, but they never will.
Ulysses.... that was also a classic...

Dungeons and Dragons was fantastic. all wierd and dreamy. The intro with that fairground thing.

I don't know, some of the cartoons on ITV are getting better.
I thought that the Cartoon "Reboot" was good though that didn't last very long.

hehe, i loved Jayce and the wheeled warriors, and mysterious cities of gold, and ulysses, and thundercats and superted, and bananaman, and asterix, and Dungeons and dragons, and and and there so many good cartoons, they are all sh*t and pro-learning now :(
I men they are cartoons not learning, they are fun!!!

Jamagei - Johnny Bravo is cult, surely. Now that's one funny cartoon!
I suppose that you either have to have been a child who woke up at 6:30 in the morning on Sunday or just a cartoon nut to know about Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors... I believe that it was made by the same people as Ulysses, it was meant to be the follow on series.Quote:

I was definately a up at 6:30 on a sunday morning kid, oh yeah.
I was also a child who would get up at 5 / 6 am to watch cartoons. Then I got into watching Anime too, though that was after watching Akira on Ch4 about 8 years ago.
Johnny Bravo is good, so is Ed, Edd and Eddy (if you have Cartoon Network you will know what I am talking about... Or visit www.cartoonnetwork.co.uk and look under Ed, Edd and Eddy.)
Watched the one with the perfume in syringes a few weeks ago :)
Thundercats was cool...so was voltron..( yes i am old enough too remember voltron ) also tom and jerry was very funny.
I used to watch Voltron all the time!! :D That was the greatest show ever!! But, like with everything, they went and trashed the legacy with a crappy CGI version...
That's all the power rangers were..a newer version of voltron... ;)
yeah, Anime and Manga are really, cool. I love Akira and i know some people don't like it, but i think Devilman is really cool. Then you got 3x3 eyes, which was cool, and the four dragons (or four kings). I love it

I am amazed how the conversation started on Cartoons and then somehow made a jump to the Chinese Water Torture of TV : The Power Rangers!

Jamie, Jamie and the magic torch.
That was cool, he could just shine a torch on the bedroom floor and a slide would appear, awsome.
Not a cartoon but Street Hawk was my childhood favourite show, jumping out of those sliding doors then hitting the Turbo boost button. Brilliant.

He might have been getting it confused with another cartoon, that was something like the lost city under the sea or something along those lines
