Of course, they labeled the countries wrong. Anybody who doesn't know geography would go with the country labeled with the name they are looking for. I don't know if anybody else is really any different. Can you point out Togo if the names of African countries were scrambled? I realize Australia is a different case, since it is a continent, but keep in mind that our country was peopled with indians, named because an Italian sailing a Spanish ship didn't know geography. We are just following his example.

I don't mind that's what everyone called me when I lived in Australia.

I don't like all the comments about the southeast United States though (mostly on the other forum from whence the clip came). I don't live there anymore, but I always thought it was funny to see all the kids from the northeast come down to my high school in Georgia and not be able to keep up. I also think it is funny how we in America always hear about how smart oriental people are. When I was in university those were the people that were always trying to copy my homework and projects.

From my experiences in Australia, I'm positive you could do the same thing there. You just have to go down to Footscray (Melbourne suburb) metro station and interview about 20 people to get 10 bogus responses.

Footscray is quite the bummy side of Melbourne (thus my mum tells me neither to go over that way :p)

Did they say it was in Washington D.C. or Washington State? If it were in Washington D.C. it would all make sense. Washington D.C. is one of the roughest crime areas of the U.S. I only went there once, but I'd say it was quite a bit worse than Footscray.

I went in DC 2 years ago, and was drinking in the Peirce Morgan area (sp?) when someone tried to take my cash while I was at a bank machine.
I don't stand for that in the UK, let alone the US, so I retaliated against 3 young (younger than me) lads. My freidns dragged me off, then my friend who lives in the US punched me to the ground and said that i could have been shot or stabbed as it's really bad there and you should let them take your cash. he said if I ever did anything like that agin, he would personally kill me. Mind you, that's not as bad as 2 days later when a guy stole a car, I chased the car, and jumped in the passenger side to drag him out...that was a close one :eek:

You just have to make sure you re-enforce good manners by requesting the mugger to say ' PLEASE, can I have your cash?' while holding a gun to your head. Good manners make all the difference in the world in polite society.
