EVERYBODY?!!! Even I havn't heard of it.
Heard of it but Firefly doesn't show in the UK so I doubt it will do that well
Go see this movie!!!!!!!! It is awesome!!!!
Unless you are a Star Trek uber fanboy who is pissed off that Joss Whedon puts STORY before ships battles and aliens , you will love it.
:D
Glad to know i'm not the only one who is excited about the movie.
:)

I have gone to bed watching an episode of Firefly every day this week. :D
OK, if I hate Star Wars but like Star Trek, will I like this?
Maybe. Can you accept no aliens and actual character development and story development? :p
Can you accept the future isnt necessarily lasers and peaceful exploration? lol
I would say as long as you go in expecting some original sci-fi and not a star trek copy. you will enjoy it.
The question is will someone who has never seen Firefly know what is going on?
from some of the early reviews that i've read the first few mins of the movie should get you all caught up.
I just can't wait for all the comment after the movie is released.....
"Ya know, they should make a TV series out of that...." ;-)
Valley - the DVD set with all the episodes is available in the UK - I kow cause I just bought it for my brother in Ireland. Go check it out but be prepared to lose a weekend as you're goign to want to watch every episode back to back. Yes - its that good.
I want this movie to kick ass in the box office then see Fox Executives cry how they screwed up big time....
I'm really hoping that the Sci-fi Channel will pick it up and replace SG-1 with it. although i hate to see SG-1 go at least it would get replace by something good.
SG1 is about the crappiest series I've seen, I'd rather just watch McGyver, I might learn something ( :ehh: )
Don't want to spend that kind of money on a DVD boxset (around £35 which works out at about $60). Bit too expensiveQuote:

SG-1 is cool although I'm not sure it will work without Jack.
SG-1 is my favorite show, but nothing can last forever. Eventually it will get replaced. I'm hoping by something good like Firefly. Instead of [junk]
I don't think Star Trek is only about explosions and aliens.
And I'm looking forward to seeing Serenity.. :)
I watched the whole series, which was awesome.
Just finished watching the movie.
IT WAS UBER-AWESOME!
I aim to misbehave.
I'm a leaf on the wind. Watch me soar...
You are messing with my calm...
Movie was good. But I found it a bit disappointing. The main problem came down to too many characters for a movie. You can't dedicate any time to each character. So Wash, Zoe, Kaylee, and Jayne got a little ignored.
That's why we need a season 2 :)
Aye. I so doubt it will ever happen though.
I liked the movie too, that girl was CRAZY~
I wonder if there was a new series if Whedon would bring back Wash in Whedonesque fashion. People just dont stay dead in Whedons shows.
:ehh:
 No they don't, i hope he would though, cause the sheppard and wash were really good characters. I can't say favorite cause that's reserved for kaylee :D
mmmm Jewel Staite...droolQuote:

Maybe wash and sheppard are really cylons and their consciousness (sp?) got transferred to another body. Or am i getting my shows confused :)
Oh wait i forgot that they destroyed the resurrection ship. Dang it!
I thought the movie was pretty cool, but I don't remember who played who. Which women are you folks drooling over?
Dogs or cows?Quote:

I'd have to agree with Cander on this one
If you haven't seen the show, she was the ships mechanic, and was quite cute even with engine grease all over her face. (maybe even more so) :eek2:
Jewel is cute no matter what. :thumb:Quote:

There weren't too many women on that ship that were not dream women (or women i don't mind dreaming about). I think river would be the only exception and that's only cause she was a little phsychotic. lol

No, I haven't seen Firefly but still enjoyed the film
I must say, I did have my doubts about this one, but it turned out to be pretty damn good! Very well written and directed, just one part made me cringe, and it almost ruined the flow of the movie.
Towards the end, when Jewel Staite says "Sex?"
L-A-M-E-A-S-S.
Thanks for the reccommendation, whoever started this thread. :)
lol your welcome
Well if you watch the TV shows, you realize how badly she wants to be drilled by Simon. :eek2:Quote:

Is this programme as good as Lexx?
You ought to go back and get the series on DVD.Quote:

Don't mean to be a prude, (guess I am now :) ) but the other cheese factor was the way River walked and talked. A constant.
I still gave it a rating of 9 on IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0379786/
I think it might hit the Top 250 list pretty soon.

If it's a reality show or a sex-laced drama series, the episodes get here before they're made. If it even remotely hints at intelligent concepts, they bury it in a mountain of Yorkshire pudding.

Apparently there is a film in the works so that'll probably be the end
A film on the Simpsons or Futurama?
