close enough to spain though, but no longer controlled by spain since the spanish-american wars in the early late 1800's ( 1870ish - 1890ish )

I don't have any friends on the Philipins, well my best friend (a girl) + two of her friends are in Vietnam at the moment, and in a week or two they are going to the Philippines (or Philipinene as we say) for some days before they are going to Australia to meet the rest of my friends.

But I have two close friends here where their parents are from The Philippines though. All 4 of them are from Manilla.

Actually the "Friend:Philip" thing was not meant to mean manavo, but it can be :D

Also, i have a friend from school who is greek. Her name is Maria, but im not sure how she speaks spanish fluently??? Is it taught commonly in greece? or what... maybe just where she was from , i dunno
