Strange, I haven't changed any download options from the original downloads. Is anyone else having trouble downloading?
I just downloaded it and everything went fine, no errors.
This Link is a bit noisy !.
It start excuting the file into my machine. It's not downloadable file.Sorry Nicky;) the update link is fine but I click the above link and then click update and thought that error was caused by update link.
nick can you please zip up the codebook exe file?
Done :)
It's now V1.3 :D
some files are not loading into the app . (internet , Math & Numbers ..) is there any way to get them there or I guess you need add these parts ,compile it again.;)
overall it's beneficial app.thanx
Yup, another update :D
VBCodeBook.Net = V1.4
CodePack = Release 4
cool
Nicky what suppose this Update does??I can't see new items in the main app. am I doing wrong ;) ??guess no
The program stands at V1.4 and the CodePack at Release 4.
The main app should have an anim on the "Quick Tips" pop up (among other things) and the new CodePack should contain Tutorial:"A Beginner's Guide to DB" and Internet: "Download HTML" (among others)
WOW , That's cute :D . I'm sorry dude I had that first exe release. But now it's updated .I were downloading only the code.
Thanx for that Cool Tool
Love the program so far... except for one thing... the teal background in the left listview.... (and the smily faces).... could use an 'options' menu to change those colors, and perhaps disable or change the smiley icons....
Otherwise, outstanding..!
Ok :D
V1.5 of the VBCodeBook.NET program is now available, and an update of the CodePack (Release 5) is also available.
Enjoy! :D
Thank you Nicky !:)
Update
Program now stands at V1.6
CodePack now release 5.1
:D
wow, nice one
i just downlaoded it
First impression
very nice GUI and colour schemes
and a search would make this to be a very very nice program, keep up the good work!
Gee thanks *blush*
A search facility would be very handy wouldn't it, but I have no idea how to code one! If anyone has any ideas.....
:D
if only you had a snippet of a search routine :D
If i make some code, im sure i will contribute. Infact im writing up some info about connecting to a mySQL database for me personally (because I forget alot of stuff like that). I will send when I finished it
Ironic isn't it :D :DQuote:

The snapshot of your code book program is covering the VB Code book poll.
Thanks Jon, it's now (hopefully) been corrected :D
yes, that's better now.
by the way, your code book is really nice.
Would all those interested be willing to sign the guestbook? It gives permanent feedback for me.
Thanks yall :)
Update
VBCodeBook.NET is now up to version 1.7 and the CodePack now stands at Release 6
:D
This new version stops responding everytime I open it.
The installation program dosn't work.
I get an error (I attched the message)
I might be just because I already have it on my computer, but anyways.
I'll try to sort these out A.S.A.P. :D
Does V1.7 work ok for anybody?
What is the VBcodebook.net?
I just downloaded a copy of VBCodeBook - Very cool.
Thanks for putting that together. I forwarded it to my collegues - I'm sure they'll find it helpful too.
We'll be sure to send any useful code we develop!
Was it V1.7? and does it work ok? I few people seem to be having trouble getting the program to run.
Its version 1.7 and it works fine.
I downloaded the .exe. It installed fine and it works great. I haven't checked out all the features extensively, but if I find anything I'll let you know.
Thanks, i'm also looking for people to test the code in the CodePack, there's quite a bit but I don't know if any of it works correctly. I did try the Form Fading but couldn't quite get it to work.
If you (or anyone) is trying code and find that it doesn't work, or you have to tweak it in order to get it to work, please email me the working version or mention that a particular piece of code doesn't work, this way we can the code in tip-top working condition.
Thanks.
Andy
On my PC , It's working !
Update
VBCodeBook.NET is now up to version 1.8 and the CodePack now stands at Release 7
Enjoy :D
Great Nicky :D . I'll get it right now
What the search button suppose to do ?? it throw handled error and return no matches . anyone else got the same error ?
You click on the Go button and a menu should pop up allowing you to search either Filenames or all code texts for the specific search word.
Even if you haven't entered anything, it should still search and give a list.
This works ok for me, anyone else having trouble?
exactly what I did !!! and still returns error
What exactly does the error say? As i'm not getting any error, I can tell what's wrong. Have you tried different ways? With text to search for, without, search filenames, search text, do they all throw the same error?
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.
Ugly error :D .
Hmmm... I'll have a look, thanks.
unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application.
Invalid file format !
when I press continue , it continue without any matches !
Attached is a quick error check version. When you search it should display a messagebox with a pass number "Pass: n". Do you get this? If so, how many passes does it go through (you have to keep clicking "Ok".

Rename the .zip to .exe, it's not zipped.
Hmm, it didn't attach, try again
Where is it ?. Thanx for this online support !:DQuote:

got it . thanx
It's the VBCodeBook.exe, just make a copy of the original and unzip this one in the same directory.
msgbox shows "pass 0"? . btw where is search button !
another error :(
a msgbox shows "sub get directories" and then throw exception says :
File already open ?
Was that the button you where using? That should have been removed and you should use the "Go" button as the 'Search' button is now obsolete.
