I don't want to play the blame game, but I point the finger squarely at nobbies like Yash and Digitial********.

1 of the above. I still visit to help on the technical side but I only visit CC to see people that can't get to other sites. I liked this place, hopefully the new moderation policy will get rtd of the twats.

Its not as friendly as it used to be.

VBF is friendlier now than it was before. Atleast on General VB
Questions. I only recently started going into Chit Chat frequently.
I don't actually see much moderation to be entirely honest.
General VB is almost entirely open discussion now, as long as it is
atleast remotely related to VB.

As soon as the first set of moderators were put in place, the site went down hill, shortly after i left and put my effort into other sites, i sometimes came back, but after my old account was flecked up, ive hardly seen this place... until now, im still trying to get my old account back :(

It's changed, but has it really gone downhill? It did for a while, but it's quite nice here now :) The only difference is that a lot of the 'old crowd' have floated off to other forums instead. Just because Katie, Lucy, Pix, and so on and so forth, don't post here any more, it doesn't mean that it's got worse. There's just a lot of new people on here.

I just needed somewhere to go to post nonsense that other people wouldn't act like idiots about... hence my new home. :D I still come and answer VB questions, but I don't program with VB much anymore, so it's not as common as it used to be. I always have nonsense to post, but I don't always have VB on my brain. :p

I haven't left VBF at all. Aside from the annoying users like DigitalError and jesus4u, it's a nice place. Every large site has a few rotten apples, VBF is no different. Galah has a pretty good user base as does NXSupport but then again, NX only has 1500 members and Galah has under 300 last time I checked. If we had 30,000 members on our sites, there'd be a few *****s in the rose bush.

Though on the other hand, WDF has 250 members and even the admin is a total jerk ;)

Im registered for about 2 years and i only remember 10 members that come here often...but i never had any personal conversation or debate...i only come here to see some good tutorials and save some good code. Its not my purpose to make friends here... But i note that some people are always fighting...i cant understand why... this forum is to help each other...
