It's amazing, you get the impression (well, I did) that a large percentage of members of the board are from the US!

That explains a few things. One of my friends lives in Tipton and he says that the people from birmingham hate being called brummie... but he must be talking about people he knows in Tipton :) Cheers :)
Not so sure about the midlands thing. There are quite a few londoners and a few from the south west as well.... I think it's quite evenly spread. We even have people from Cornwall, where the internet is a novelty and Decimalisation has only recently been introduced. :D
