There probably is something about your game that I don't understand 'cause I 've been trying to do anything for the last 10 minutes and nothing happenned...
How do we play this game???
Is there a graphical display with some running water and some castles? If you clikc a castle you can do things (not much yet)Quote:

To upload the attack information the zip file would be
about 40 - 70 mbs. ALOT of character animation.
What are your fps???
The frame rate is about 75....
If you compile the project to an EXE I can try it because there's no VB on this pooter.

Not yet. I recently map a Character Engine to make the 3d animated character files. This stuff is a whole lot of work.Quote:

How can you really call this a "fully functional version of the game" when you really can't do anything?
Because it moves and stuff.. you can select things. It takes imput. DirectX isnt that easy to make behave.Quote:

1- Where are people to move ? I only see 3 buildings and nothing to do :(

oh I played again and I notice than the FPS are at 120 all the time.
1.) This is a very well thought out game. There are going to be 8 kingoms with 3-4 castles each. Each castle will have its own population of solders (to fight with). You can then attack a castle you do not own, and try to take over it.Quote:

The fighting will be like FF tactics. It will have full mythical stuff, like magic.. and weapon that suck hp, and shoot fire. Each character will have some special skill of about 20. Like Summon, steal...
2.) I dont know french. I made the DX engine off of an example =)

Very nice indeed Evan.....But I had to comment out a few lines to get it to compile, which is not abnormal was just letting you know. Also why did you use DX7 instead of DX8, have you been working on it that long or just following the initial example.

WOW this game is greaat...i didnt have to comment out anything....1 thing i c is when you scroll across on the side of the screen it gets wavey...great game cant wait for it to be done

Oh! I know what causes those waves, its when you get to many FPS. When you are at a good ammount it will look fine, Ill put in a counter and make sure it says at that ammount.

im still curious why it looks like Age of Empires 2?
ive never played that game but maybe he likes games like that...only game ive played is red alert and it kinda looks like that but not really at all
well the houses and stuff look exactly as in not one drop different then in age of empires 2. the landscape also looks exactly the same. the trees and water do too. the pop up menu to attack is the only thing that looks different.
i dont mean to critisize just curious is u used the same engine or a .dll or something?
when i installed red alert 2 or maybe it was tiberian sun it gave me a option to have a few tiberian sun .dll's. it also added a few thing to the object browser like Bomb class, aircraft class, tank class etc. maybe it did the same thing for AOE2?
