I quite like mine, and the good thing here is: unlike me, you lot can appreciate it without the fingerprints all over it. :)

http://www.webshots.com they have awesome desktops and theres an option 4 the calendar which updates every day. I started it here at work, and now everyone has it.

I have only four icons on my desktop:
- Arien's Computer (I renamed it)
- Network Neighborhood (renamed from the stupid "My Network Places")
- Arien's Stuff (Renamed from My Documents)
- Recycle Bin (didn't rename it but changed the icon :))
I store only quick downloads and temporary files there.
well here is a linux one. I just set it up so I haven't had time to clean it up yet.
