This is actually a serious post so all u w*nkers that want to ruin it with frivolity and stuff can fook off :D

OK I am designing a front cover to a software product and need a bit of creative genius. The attached pic is where I am sorta heading but with the squiggle being more like a stylistic suburban 'scape'.

a) So any attempts at a house scape (width 14.85 cm) would be appreciated. I prefer all white.

b) Any completely new design ideas.

The prize? :eek: The great feeling of a job well done? :eek: :p emmm.. u name the prize and I'll see what i can come up with... my price range is 0-$1.49 :)

peets seems too empty to me, but slaines looks too complicated and confusing.

I would agree that Peet's looks too plain,
maybe if it were shorter, or landscape sized.

Slaine's looks like shopping for homes in Atlantis,
but it is very cool.

Somewhere in between is the answer to all of beachbums
problems...

Well I had a reply to Slaine's efforts when VBF was back up .. but it chose that exact moment to go back down :o :) I posted the reply on NSX so not sure if Slaine saw it


Anyways, I am still looking for inspiration. Here are some ideas for the top half of the cover. ie the bottom is ok with the change to Slaine's cool logo

1. perspective grid (like Sims) but wireframe and with houses on it sorta like monopoly... dont want it in colour .. ie stylised, white only... my graphics tools are beyond crap

2. 2d aerial view sorta like street directory again stylised and white

3. stylised suburban scape... i have tried a few of these and they dont seem to come off

4. ANYTHING ELSE ... left field... inspired... I am open to all :)

Hmmm... that 4-square thing looks remarkably similar to the Windows Window.... I'm calling the piracy police...
