why? it's just the chit-chat forum and I'm trying to get a million views.... can a MOD tell me if an app like that would get me banned?
a mod cant do anything about its the server. If you refresh that much you flood the server causing a slow down. Most servers ban you after like 60 hits/sec. I've tried it. Im not sayin it wont work but i doubt it.

You could just sit there and hit F5 a bunch of times. I just tested it and in the span of about 15 seconds, I made hundred hit counts on this topic.
At least with my way, no content is really sent to me, so I eat up only about 100 bytes each time I hit F5.
Also, I hate to break the news to you. but 65535 is the max for vBulletin boards.

If I recall, the view limit was a problem because the datatype for the field that the count was stored in was too small. But the problem was fixed. Maybe Lord_Rat was using an outdated version?
