BTW, I know how to program windows with C++, I also know how to use pointers, classes, linked lists, binary trees, etc. and my class is still stuck on strings.

Yes...of course we do. However, the government takes a dim view of having to deal with malicious logic even if it is caught...it means that someone made the attempt to infect the system....they do not like that. I got called down to the office of the school and was questioned, becuase there was a rumor that I was going to send every one in my school a virus so bad that they couldn't start up there computer ever agien, and that I hacked into NASA. I was in there for 45min explaning to all these people why I wouldn't do it. I think they might be watching me right now. That's why.
