<actually serious>Lynx is a favorite for the *NIX geeks who love the text console and it is popular among visually impaired.</actually serious>
Edit!
Amount? AMOUNT? My English skills are almost as good as NoteMe's!
Someone should put a picture in there..:)
as he said it is used by those with visual impairment and would replace images with their AlternateText values anyway
I'll change all my alt=""'s with "cot c0d" from now on...
Just to save you the effort...

impressive.
I didn't even know Netscape was still going!
Oh sure its not a padded graph as you have your FF extension on your site so no one with IE would want to go there. Biased to say the least.Quote:

He is trying to find the deepermost hole in the whole world for saying something that silly and shameful. If there was a picture demonstrating shameful red, it would be RobDog's face right now.
This thread is much more sensible. :afrog:
 You guys are way too predictable but its still fun to see you guys get all worked up over FF. :D
Pot, kettle, black?
No, white. :bigyello:
Stainless steel. :afrog:
I have yet to see you give a good argument for IE.Quote:

There is the VBF extension from Cander&Noteme, how much time would it have taken to hack that into IE? In firefox you can write an extension with JavaScript and XUL, it's slower than a c++ written DLL ofcourse but it's more accessible.
With a fresh windows install, right after I turn the sound scheme off, I start IE and download Fx.
Before a fresh windows install, I unplug the network cable. With a fresh windows install, i turn on the windows firewall (or install zonealarm free) and then plug in the network cable before downloading firefox.Quote:

I like Opera. I like Firefox.
I haven't fully decided about Internet Explorer 7... I can't get the bloody thing to install on my computer, and it won't give me a reason why (only "IE7 failed to install"), and the tech support on the site is useless... So the experience has been similar to IE6 so far...
All in all, I think its more important to have the choice of browser available than any particular browser (my fav. used to be firefox, but I'm swaying between firefox and opera now)...
Using IE7 and Fx for testing ASP.NET apps at the moment and I'm not overly impressed by IE7 considering the vast resources available to M$. There is nothing new about IE7 (as all their "new features" are in either Opera, Firefox or Safari). One thing that is really grating on my nerves are the new toolboxes. For a start I can't actually move any of them (except for the Links bar which I usually turn off anyway), and also they now have a menu system that is completely maddening. I can only add about 6 buttons to a toolbar and the stop and refresh buttons are tiny making browsing infuriating.
It is almost all the same which one of the non-IE browsers you use; avoiding outdated IE is the most important thing. Firefox is a strong choice if you develop for the Internet, on other areas the field is rather even these days.Quote:

Go easy on him Note, he's Welsh.
I was thinking about adding that too. But I thought I had pwnd him enough...:)
Not really :D
Believe me I've heard all the Welsh jokes before. Besides, England is quickly being overrun by refugees and immigrants, and they're welcome to stay there too ;) :thumb:
Some more anti-IE propoganda... ;)

careful hairball, you might LEARN something out of this one.
So I hosed my windows install by accident, then when trying to re-install it, the ghost image crashed near the end... but I thought "I don't want to wait for this thing again", so I just booted into it... and by some miracle, IE7 now installs on it (I guess you need a botched windows installation for it to work ;)). Anyway, of the 10 minutes I spent on it, I was far from impressed. I'm going back to my little opera world now to hide :)
