Yeah not too bad, battles with helpdesk this morning, job's picking up slightly, still here after 18 months, same rate (:D ), and going on holiday next 2 weeks :)

Contracting . . . . hmm considered it, but on balance I think I did alright staying permie. Sure there's lots that annoy me, but I think the glass is half-full at the mo . . . .

I don't think you're that far from me . . . . . actually Bradford & Oldham are depressing in very similar ways . . . . racial tension, massive unemployment, high levels of illeteracy etc.

Afternoon Alan. My job situation has changed since our lunch on friday. there was another redundency today which has left me feeling rather aprehensive. so I'm gonna start stepping up on my search for a new job again :)

Chris: EXCELLENT!!!! Great stuff!! You'll love it down there - my mate emigrated (married a Kiwi girl) there 7 years ago. I also did a similar thing when I was 18 - worked in Sydney for a year, adn loved every minute off it (cept for the Aussie beer :p )
