In pristine state. Got it from my aunt who used to live in NY in the sixties.
A huge coin I must say. It's wider than 2 fingertips :)

damn cookies, twice in one day :p
as for the old 1 pound notes I'm not completley sure. I think you could exchange them but you would only get the face value back. I would keep hold of them and who knows, in 50 odd years they could be collectable and worth a hell of alot more.
spend the quarters and nickles and keep the Kennedy then!
Great ! ;)
(got some roebbels too but I suppose you don't know anything about them :D)
I'm telling porkies. just looked at the bank of englands site and you cannot do anything with them apart from maybe smoking them.
evenin :)
that's what I thought Ian ...
I'll keep it for rarity value ;)

I don't fancy your chances of exchanging. I've never seen a £1 note, ever (in 21 years), they don't exist anymore so it's probably worth a bit.Quote:

£1 is a coin only. Also £2 coin. Lowest note is £5
Night ahmachan, night Katie, night chris (even though u didn't answer me ;))
Got 2 of them in fairly good state. Going to keep 'em another 10 years and maybe they'll be worth quite a bit :)Quote:

Got some pennies too, mostly '60 and '70 but I expect they're still around
right, early night for me.
night all :)
goodnight vicky and Ian
Yep, 1p coins from 1920's aren't uncommon, I might even have a few - think I even had one from 1890's onceQuote:

We had pound notes in Scotland up until fairly recently. In fact we were in a bar in Boston and they had a whole pile of them pinned to the wall thinking they were no longer legal tender. We did think of mentioning it to the barmen, then we figured one of our poor countrymen would probably appreciate us not giving the gaff away next time he was a bit short of cash for a beer.

Morning all :)
Morning mate. :)
OK for Fri?
hi Gaffer. yep no problem for me and after The gooners going 2 points clear last night, definatley need to celebrate :D. And for a very few times in my life I will be rooting for the yids tonight :D
The way the gooners have been playing recently, I think they deserve a crack at the title. Pity Wenger has to spoil it by claiming the Arse could be the biggest club in the world. Maybe they can, but what's the point of gesticulating like some schoolboy meglomaniac?Quote:

Jealous? Moi? COME ON YOU HOMERS! [sic] :D
yeah I know what your saying about Wenger's comments, was unlike hime to say a thing like that and one of the only reasons that we have theese players is that they all want to play under him. if he left I think it would be a completley different story. if we go home with one bit of silverware I'll be happy, anything else is a bonus :)
But until Arse win the League or the European Champions Final, Mr Dein et al are not going to be sated.
This is the rot that is setting into football these days IMO: Fair enough, the arse, based on current form, deserve top honours at the end of the season. But for lesser clubs, overegotistical chairmen have ideas above their station. Take Villa for example. Eillis is expecting bloody European honours AND top 3 spots every year. I mean, cmon, they're an above average premiership side, but I can't imagine them winning ANY league in Europes, never mind the toughest....
Lots of girlies for you to stare at on Friday mate - guaranteed :D
Mornin' all you punters :p
Arsenals' new stadium plan been approved yet ?
I shall bring along my bib then, to catch all the drible :p
at the moment the only person I haven't heard from is crispin, as he hasn't been around all week. Chris M might be making an appearance as well :)
Morning mate :)
I think it is - Ian should know. Great idea I reckon, where toput it though?

The old stadium is going to be sold for housing development so it looks like Ian's dream of living in a football stadium may yet be realised :D

Cool. How about a time and location then?Quote:
