As for why quail eggs, I guess hen's eggs just didn't seem random enough. I could have gone for banana fritters, I suppose, but the Chinese take away's closed.
p.s. Reading it right now. Randomness increasing.

Yep, that'll do it.

Re: artificial intelligence
In Windows 7, there's no "start button". :(

Re: artificial intelligence
You're right - before "start" he should add "switch theme to Windows Classic".

Re: artificial intelligence
This is very useful.

PROPANE
to make propane heat petrolium but not enougth to burn it.
the gas is compressed in cold tempatures with a compressor(a bunch of fans in a cylinter, in an air

I have started making my own propane. I hope the land-lord doesn't notice that missing roof. As long as it doesn't rain or snow, I should be fine.

Re: artificial intelligence
well add yoram yuvell to the BIG list of ignore
didn't answer emails
doesn't answer phones

Re: artificial intelligence
How big is the list of ignore exactly? How big will it have to get for you to stop annoying people?

I'm glad you noticed that. =) I thought it fit the style perfectly.

Re: artificial intelligence
I thought I'd found quite a sensible passage until...
Quote:
A METAL MELTING FURNACE
1 line (metal drum) with a layer of 7 cm refractory concrete (you can place this in a hole in the ground
2 the drum will have an opening at its top and a smaller opening in the side(to be pumped with
air(from a fan))
3 place the metal and the coal in the drum (if you use propane its to be pumped in from another hole
(in which case The torch hole should fit exactly))
4 the user can observe the melting from the top hole but must wear a face shield, the brighter the
hoter the metal,
light yellow = 1500 C / 2730 F
5 the metal will be placed in a mold before melting
Max. temperature (inside the crucible): 1300 deg C (=2500 F) within 15 mins = 300 grams copper.
warnings
Dark welding goggles when temps above 1300 C are used.
Oven gloves.
Wait... What?... Oven Gloves? OVEN GLOVES? We're talking temeratures of 1500 degrees Centigrade and your suggesting... OVEN GLOVES?! REALLY?!
Wow. Just... Wow.
-
Re: artificial intelligence
Yet you didn't see a problem with "the metal will be placed in a mold before melting"
You're being converted! IT'S A TRAP!
-
Re: artificial intelligence
Seemed reasonable to me and much safer than pouring it while molten. Of course, you'd have to shove it pretty hard to get it in while solid but let's not let minor details like that get in the way.
-
Re: artificial intelligence
A very good point. In fact, if we just shipped it still in the mold, even the customers will get the products they want in a nice safe package.
-
Re: artificial intelligence
Who the heck is Yoram Yuvell? Did that name come up before?
With apologies to Family Guy and the Mikado.
He's got them on a list.
He's got them on a list.
And they never will be missed.
No they never will be missed.
Those folks ignoring Moti
When he sends them plaintive mail
He's got them on a list
Yes, he's got them on a list
Those blokes who never do return his calls
And hope to see him fail
They never will be missed
No, I'm sure they'd not be missed.
There's the people running down the book
Who haven't had a look
And others who deride AI
while thinking he is high
There are people who suspect he's mad
While making comments bad
They never would be missed.
No, they never would be missed.
So he's put them on the list
Yes, he's got them on the list.
And so on.

Re: artificial intelligence
Yoram Yuvell is ph something from haifa university who missed the chance to test the program

Can any of us on VBForums have the honour of testing the program?

Re: artificial intelligence
Basically, you are safer than you realize. On the other hand, that may have to do with the copyright laws of your particular country. I don't know what the laws are in Israel, but I would expect them to be similar to US copyright laws.
-
Re: artificial intelligence
Copyright laws are pretty much the same and upheld internationally by all countries that are a member of the UN, of which Israel has been since 1949.

Believe me, no one here is going to claim that they made that software. You're safe.
-
Re: artificial intelligence
He has the forum on ignore, so he wouldn't know that. haha.

Re: artificial intelligence
Yes, exactly. Judging from the general reaction here, do you think anyone would claim it as their own?
You could at least use TeamViewer with somebody.

Re: artificial intelligence
there is no law in israel, cars are stolen, people are stabbed, drugs are sold, all bureaucracy is slow and unreasonable, most job places employ stupid relatives, buildings are grey, simple public construction work
take years and done when not needed, about 10% of the population are hasidic jews that each make about 10 kids and all they do is learn tora and profit from stack exchange and buisness owenership.
the legal system takes average of 6 years per case, and the police exist only to fine people
oh yeah, the government is corrupt, and they waste money like :
125000$ for an actor to make a commercial for them (3 commercials this month alone)
142k$ to build the government website
and they build cell antenas everywhere

Re: artificial intelligence
Okay, so get TeamViewer and let someone else use it while it's on your computer.

Re: artificial intelligence
last time i used teamviewer my pc was hacked luckily i deleted the yotamarker before using it
give me time i"ll cook something

Re: artificial intelligence
I recommend quail eggs. I hear they're the word these days.

Re-reading through this thread provides me with some amusement that varies in intensity. Though, this has inspired me to pose the question: Why don't we write our own book, as a community?

Working title:
The Story of Moti Barski and The FAI That Could
When delusion and programming combine, this is the crap you get!

Ah! We had a very hot girl in our programming team a few years back (in another job). I wish she had said this when I offered to test her code.
It's getting dangerous to read this thread at work. I can't always hide my face in my sleeve when trying to fend off the bouts of laughter.
Perhaps the book will have a remedy for that as well...

I like this title, but it should be just the "The FAI that Could."

I said it was a working title! It sounds more like a title for a movie though...
This is what we should do. We just make up titles for a book, jesting about this thread.

Or there could be a title and subtitle like this:
The FAI That Could
The story of Moti Barski, a forum and the desparate efforts to stave off insanity
-
Re: artificial intelligence
Chapter1: The YotaBarfer was a fact
-
Re: artificial intelligence
A slight variation:
The FAI(L) that Could
BB

Re: artificial intelligence
I think it's not needed because most people will insert that in their head anyway. (And assume it's a double fail for not having it... if they only knew ...)

Baja yu was using an allusion referencing Moby Dick when he made that quote.

(It wasn't missed. But neither was the fact that I had the opportunity to take it out of context.)

title :
The yotamarker (A.I) saga
and it should be a manga

Re: artificial intelligence
It's not fun anymore when the subject becomes serious about it. :(

Re: artificial intelligence
Manga would be a good medium for this. It has some real potential. All those dolls would work well.

You wish. The book would be a jest and nothing more.

Yes, it would be considered a Jest in Time Compilation.
