Who's APC?
A Perfect Circle
Can't say that I have, no. Don't have MTV here, just got some standard crappy cable channels that are more or less free. Other people in the house are too bloody cheap to buy any decent channels
Why's it disturbing? I'm intrigued...
Quote:
Up the stairs, to her apartment.
She is balled up on the couch
Mom and dad went down to Charlotte
They're not home to find us out
It starts off with a kid floating toy boats in a pond...he falls in.
In the meantime the singer as an adult is in a dark room with a red bed and three scantily clad evil looking women.
The kid looks up under water and sees these same women who take him and put him in a red bed underwater. He curls up into the fetal positions.
The adult is in the same position in the room with the women doing "things" to him.....they keep cutting to the kids on the bed who is responding as if the women were with him.
Weird stuff........
Hmm sounds a bit dodgy to me.... I'll have to try and catch it sometime ;)
I understand the appeal of watching three women and one guy........it's just the kids aspect that disturbs me. My boys seem to be able to overlook it ......for the sake of the art I'm sure!
Your sons right, what's the bloke doing in there, 4 women would appeal much more :D
I couldn't live without MTV !!!Quote:
Don't have MTV here
3 women at one time would be cool :D. *ahem* but.. with a child.... that's just sick...Quote:

Here's a part from a song, let's see if any of you can identify it:
Quote:
Hey little thing lemme light your candle 'cuz mama I'm sure hard to handle now.
Black Crows.............actions speak louder than words and I'm a man of great experience..... I know you got another man but I can love you better than him.......
don't know the title!
Since you know the song, I'll give you the title.... "Hard To Handle".... I love that song :D I kept hearing it on the radio but it took me forever to find out the title of it...

Quote:
As we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our souls
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last
Where all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll
That's Led Zepplin Harry!
I know you can do better than that
Stairway to Heaven!
Very good :) I don't actually think I've ever heard the song, but those words were on a Led Zep poster so I copied em. Figured someone would get it. Had to resurrect this thread ya see. Anyone got any new lyrics?
You are kidding aren't you, Harry???????? :confused:Quote:

Hey Harry....bringing your thread back to the top........
Have you heard Innocence by Fuel???? It's getting played a lot lately over here. I really like it....have you heard anything else by them?
Whoa, been a while since I read this thread... the only Fuel song I have heard is Hemorrage (however that's spelt), which is pretty cool :) I'll check that other one out.
In the meantime, some more lyrics...something a little different to my usual thing...
It's a cool song :)Quote:
life is good
and I feel great
cos mother says
I was a grave mistake
At the risk of totally embarrassing myself I'm going to say that that is a quote from an old SuperTramp song....can't think of the title...but I will!
now, to put you out of your misery (as Hary's Connection is down ATM) i will tell you that your are wrong :) I know what it is, but will not be divulging that information :)
Do I have the right era? Late 70's early 80's?
no
no........is that all you have to say?????????
don't want to make it too easy :)
I guess I'll just have to go home ignorant tonight....I won't be able to sleep all weekend wondering what this song is....thanks a bunch!
Until Monday then.....have a good weekend!:)
Oops, connection died for a couple of hours there. Anyway hopefull someone will get it, it was a popular song at the time :)
So close no matter how far
couldn't be much more from the heart
forever trusting who we are
and nothing else matters
Mettalica - Black album - nothing else matters

Artist: M.O.P.
Album: Warriorz
Song: Ante Up (Robbing-Hoodz Theory)
{*Funkmaster Flex intro not included*}
[Lil Fame]
Take minks off! Take things off!
Take chains off! Take rings off!
Braclets is yapped, Fame came off!
[Ante Up!] Everything off!
Fool what you want, we stiflin fools
Fool what you want? Your life or your jewels?
The rules, [back 'em down], next thing [clap 'em down]
Respect mine we Brooklyn bound, [bound!] now, [now!]
[Billy Danze]
Brownsville, home of the brave
Put in work in the street like a slave
Keep a rugged dress code, always in this stress mode
[That s*** will send you to your grave] So?!
You think I don't know that? [BLOW!]
N**** hold that! [BLOW!] N**** hold that! [BLOW!] N**** hold that!
From the street cousin, you know the drill
I'm nine hundred and ninety nine thou short of a mil
[Chorus: M.O.P.]
Ante Up! Yap that fool!
Ante Up! Kidnap that fool!
It's the perfect timin, you see the man shinin
Get up off them god damn diamonds! Huh!
Ante Up! Oh! Yap that fool! Oh!
Ante Up! Oh! Kidnap that fool!
Get him (get him) get him! Hit him (hit him) hit him!
Yap him! (Zap him!) Yap him! (Zap him!)
[Lil' Fame]
Them thugs you know, aint friendly
Them jewels you rock, make 'em envy
You thinkin it's all good, you creep through a small hood
Goons comin up outta a cut for your goods and they all should
Ante Up! Yap that fool!
You want big money, kidnap that fool!
If you up in the club, back out your pis-tal money
Catch them fools at the bar for that Cristal money
[Billy Danze]
The '87 stick up kids, [what you n****s sayin?]
Get the f*** up out that 740 shorty I ain't playin
It's flash that thang time, [bang] bang time
Ante Up! N****, it's game time
Hand over the ring, take over the chain
Gimme the f****n watch before I pop one in your brain
Stop playin these childish games with me
Representin 1-7-1-8, dangerously, n****!
[Chorus] w/ variations
[Lil' Fame]
I'ma, street regulator, true playa hater
Get back down, make your ass a mack spraya hater
Things that we need, money, clothes, weed indeed
Hats, food, booze, essentials, credentials
Code of the streets, owners who creep
Slow when you sleep, holdin the heat
Put holes in your jeep, respect the streets
It's the L-I L-F A-M, [M!] E, [E!]
[Billy Danze]
Yeah n**** Danze, gave you a chance
Cuz I blazed your man, I'm in the wrong
He said he was strong
I had reason to believe he had some s*** up his sleeve all along
[So?] F*** you Your Honor! Check my persona!
I'm strong enough for Old Gold and marijuana!
I'ma do what I wanna, quiet as kept
[Raise hell!] Til I was tired of stress, yes lord!
[Chorus] w/ variations
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha...
The f***, the f***, the f***...
N****!
What the f***, what the f***, what the f***...
Ha, what
First Family, First Family...
Brooklyn...
Yeah!
I got a couple of Earthtone9 mp3s, like Grind & Click, Binary 11, and some others with weird names. Pretty good =) Is that the same album?
The song was Eels - Novacaine for the Soul by the way.
I don't know grind and click, so I'll assume not:
Binary101 is on the album however...cracking tune.
If you can get hold of Tat Twam Asi or Yellow Fever, I thoroughly recommend you do...
I have Tat Twam Asi (couldn't remember the name) but not Yellow Fever, I'll check it. Not right now though, got at exam (Knowledge Based Systems) at 3:30pm, so I have to leave soon.
good luck ;)
Cheers

In your life, you seem to have it all, you seem to have control, but deep inside your soul, you're losing it!
Uhh.. no idea.
Breakdown by Tantric.....very cool!:o
My exam went very well, thank you for asking.
:) Glad to hear it!!!!!!! Are you done for the term now?
Not quite. Got another exam on Friday, Business Strategy *Yawn*, then last one next Tuesday, Algorithms & Data Structures. Guess which I'm expecting to do well in and which I'm expecting to do badly in
Then I have to get horrendously drunk for a week or two. Once the customary silliness is out of the way I then have to find out where I'm going to be living in July. It'll be somewhere in Reading. Then I have to take my driving test at the end of June, and if I can get a passport sorted out in time go on holiday somewhere that isn't Britain, also at the end of June and maybe the beginning of July. Who knows, if you're really lucky we may just come visit you in California and take the piss in person. Doesn't that just make you feel special?
Special indeed! I can never get enough of teenagers taking the piss...... Seriously, I would love to see you if you do decide to venture this way! Good luck on your exams...I'm sure you'll do fine in all of them. Check out the tantric song when you get a chance....it's there only song they play on the radio so I don't know how good they really are but I do like that song!
The lyrics thread returns once more.
Behemoth - been listening to a lot of Pitchshifter recently, I like. CDs on order. Looking forward to getting Arc Tan Gent when I can too, got Grind & Click in my head all the time. Haven't got hold of Yellow Fever yet, couldn't find it on Napster (can hardly find anything on Napster any more).
Anyway here are some more lyrics for ya. Good luck, I think you'll need it. Tip: they've been on TFI Friday (that was a UK TV show in case you're a confused foreigner reading this)
Quote:
Your unflappable conceptions
Moralistic views
Never open to criticism
Your overpowering ruse
Promises of sanctuary
In eternal bliss
With starry eyes and cash in hand
Pledge to all the master plan
Just face the truth or fund the farce
At one with your god
your sole intent
Your treasured place assured
For a substantial rent
Global lunacy
Death threats for supposed blasphemy
No room for free thought
All non believers pushed to the floor
Aggressive tyrants
Supposed saints for the cause
Judgement through force
Faith a fuel for pointless wars
When all is done
Who shall benefit? Who is the one?
Not to those who pass on
But those dictators divine waving their deceitful wands.
I have no idea where to begin looking...any clues?
Well they're the only death metal band I ever saw on TFI. They also hold the record for the shortest song at 1/4 sec.
Oh...Napalm Death.
Sorry, I don't know any of their stuff though...
Well neither do I, you don't think I sat and picked out these lyrics, then wrote them down do you?
LOL
ok, my guess would be:
"Murderous death filth wrapped in barbed wire and torn from a virgin's anus." by Napalm Death
 Roaar! Death Metal!!
Ooooo close, but I suppose I ought to tell ya. It's 'Suffer The Children'.
I guess you don't do the death metal thing too much then? Or is it just a lack of Napalm Death? Some of it's kinda good. Death metal has the best riffs, I think the best riff I know is in a Deicide song, 'When Satan Rules His World'. Kind of a corny title, but I love the riffs ;)
I like that just because of the gratuitus swearing.:DQuote:

Wait and Bleed is better though. Besides, Platypus (I Hate You) has more gratuitous swearing.
Yeah, but the lirics just aren't the same.
Hehe. A bit of a case of the Dennis there...:DQuote:
The Kinks(I think) - Lola
I'm no fool but I can't understand why she walks like a woman and talks like a man...
Y'know some guy in the US had the law changed so he actually could be called Mandy at weekends. Only in America.:D
Greenday, yeah, but I can't hear the lyrics and they aren't printed in the album cover so I can't quote.:(
Dick head ***** face cock smoking mother *****ing ******* dirty **** waste of semen and I hope you die hey!
