This is such a terrible disaster and thousands of innocent lives are forever affected!
May Jesus' love be upon all the innocent and revenge be visited on all the evil parties.
This is absolutely terrible.
Heres My first Find on the web confirming its been denied to have happened:Quote:

— Senior law enforcement officials say car bomb explodes outside of State Department in Washington, D.C. Federal protective services later denies car bomb attack occurred.
@ Time.com
When I saw the pictures it made me feel so sick!! I am not an American, but I stayed one year there and anyways it is the most terrible and radical crime that I have heard of that happened in recent times.
Whoever did this brought a lot of misery to 10,000s of people in the whole world. Noone knows how the USA will (have to) react, and what the consequences will be. I could imagine a huge setback to peace in the middle east and for the international community in general. It probably will be much harder to get into the USA for everyone from now on and trade and economy will suffer. You might say who cares for that now if humans died, but there are uncounted people that depend on that trade and economy that might lose their jobs and their basis of life.
I also think there is the possibility that Bush will try to show that he retaliates by retaliating at a target, which he can't sure about to be involved into that terrible crime.
some notes if anyone is interested:
Here in Germany they put the flags halfway everywhere and all celebrations and similar things have been canceled for the next days. The streets around the American embassy are widely closed.
(sorry for my english, but I haven't been that shocked for a while)
This is the worst thing that happened to the world in my rather short life.
ive lost two friends today.
our global teacher, he heard the news and he was shocked. he lost his mom.
my chem teachers cousin got out 15min before it collapsed
i heard they also got camp david
:( :(
trouble is ... one false judgement now and it could trigger a whole set of unforseable events ...
This might very well be a dangerous situation regarding the world peace.
Nabeel, I am sorry for your loss, as well as the loss of all the Americans who have directly or indirectly suffered this.
Jesus4u, I like that last part, may revenge be ....

Has anyone heard anything about terrorists in Whitehorse? (thats in Canada, near Alaska). Something was mentioned on th enews about another plane being hijacked, but it might just have been people being really jumpy?
SD
just in from cbc
both are Korean planes that landed in whitehorse
one is a cargo plane, other is a passenger plane
they are treating the passenger plane as a high jacked
but as cbc put it "that doesnt mean it is high jacked"
Thanks

See some of my earlier posts. All the middle-east newspapers I found are condemning the attack and calling it a terrorist murder etc.
It might surprise you to know that the people you see on television do not represent everyone over there. But of course, seeing Arabs mourning America's loss wouldn't attract viewers. Seeing them celebrate will. Which do think the networks show?
Let's see who really claims responsibility first.
SD
i know how you feel, i found that this angered me greatly as well, because i didn't think that people could be that in-sensitive, but fighting back is not the answer, people are saying that this attack is an act of war, but a war is the last thing that we all want, do we really need even more innocent deaths just to prove a point ??
as i can see most of you are well informed that Islam condemns such attacks
and is CLEARLY againts what happened
and as someone put it ALMOST all Islamic leaders have condemned the attacks
and YES i condemn the attacks
regardless of who did this
this is not in interest of Muslims, Islam and everything Islam stands for
i just called my gf
her uncle lives in washington, she told me that her aunt said that her husband hasnt came home yet, and she cant find him anywhere
The Israelis don't kill people. We don't murder hundreds of women, children, old people, or anyone else because they just happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. The Israelis kill terrorists, murderers, and militants. We end the conflict that is created by the terrorists; we don't instigate it. Trying to end the conflict in the middle east is not an excuse for murdering thousands of lawyers, stock brokers, and people who've never had any sort of involvement with the middle east conflict.Quote:
Like the Isrealies don't kill thousands of people.
Even though innocent civilians are killed by the IDF, we regret their deaths and do everything in our power to prevent and minimalize them. We don't enjoy seeing the blood of children on the ground.
Sorry, I'm just appalled and starting to get into the anger state. I know that the networks show just what is needed to jerk chains and push buttons, but damn, ANYONE who celebrates such blatant MURDER should be shot on the spot.
Ok... i just got home from school, so i haven't read this thread yet. What i know is that two planes hit both the world trade center towers, and they are both gone. Also a plane crashed in pennsylvania. and yet another plane hit the fifth circle (quadrant, whatever) of the pentagon. So far i have heard no word on where the planes were from, or why this was done. If anyone knows anything please PM me or something. I have heard that there may be more terrorist bound planes in the air, but i am not sure. I live in Binghamton NY, which is about an hours drive (on bus) away from NYC... and our school had a complete lockdown for 3.5 hours today, and my f ucking soccer game got canceled because of this.
I definately agree, if it was just property destroyed then i could try and see from their point of view, but innocent people died today. I do not think that we should use nuclear weapons however because that would only worsen matters.Quote:
I apologize for this, but after seeing the way these people were celebrating the attack on NYC & DC, I want the entire middle east nuked. No offense to those who are upset by the attack, but it really p****s me off that these people are so f*****g g********d sick.

Dilenger, don't start, because you can't delete this thread.
td.
Fair enough.
Back on topic (away from the voiciferous hatred of the ill-informed  )
The two planes in Whitehorse were Korean, and got diverted from Alaska when the US airports were shut down. One was way off course and both are suspected as having been hijacked, but this is not confirmed.
It could be that the Korean pilots got confused with all the diversions to Canada.
They're asking people in Calgary to put up people in their houses as all the planes diverted here have filled up the hotels.
SD
Dilenger, i respect you and your opinions, but can you please stop blaming Islam, there is nothing in the Qu'ran that tells them to kill innocent people, and we are not even sure that these people were muslims
I don't want you to absorb blended information, I want you to await the moment when there is more than just details, time will tell...
At the end of this discussion you will know how useful it was to rant around expressing your situations.
I said this in the deleted thead and I say it again, that I could forgive you and everyone else except those not involved to spread tinted information as well
so you are setting up the B&B then SD ??Quote:

Seriously, IMHO, There won't be Nuclear Retaliation.
There won't be a War.
A Group of Militant Crazed Wackos performed a series of
horrendous actions. No country initiated these actions. I'm pretty
certain that any and every world leader will work with the US to
track these people down and deal with them appropriately.
Hopefully as Publicly as possible. These people deserve a very
painful, tortureous, protracted broadcasted public execution.
latest news to kanadian fellas
both plane were NOT highjacked
and yes, there is NOTHING in the Qur'an or Islamic belief that states to kill innocent people
I do share your rage and anger... its just i dont take it out on other people of similar cultures... the main ones behind it were flying the aircraft, and i hoped they died very slowly in the most horrific way, and that they rot in hell, and i hope that all other people around the whole world live health lifes.Quote:

kovan, good luck to you, your gf, aunt and uncle, and deepest appologies if the worest may happen.
time will tell
Dilenger, rather everyone else, this is not the place and time to discuss who is responsible and what should be done, and what is right and what is wrong.
Please can we all have peace among ourselves? Dilenger, nobody here would think you people should take it lying down, doing nothing against it. But taking it out on Kovan is not entirely justified. As said many times, we just don't know for sure who is behind these attacks and why.
And don't think people don't share your anger and rage. Just try to control it.
.
yeah but the problem is that Bush isn't known for his straight thinking, so he might just fly off the handle and decide to bomb the people who he doesn't like, and this could easily start a war, that could drag in other countries as well. And has anyone considered that these people may be Americans ??Quote:
