Spent 2 hours in the pouring rain stuck in traffic. Normally it takes me less than a quarter of an hour. Some bastard found it a good idea to park his truck over the road :rolleyes:
It reached 102 degrees yesterday.......the wind has picked up so it's not quite as hot today....but it's only 9:41am here so it's too early to tell for sure!

I frequently do between 85 and 90 on my way to work, but on those little roads my mum's car just doesn't have the acceleration for me to go nipping round the old biddies in front :mad:
Although when it's clear I have been known to go like a maniac on the route from work to home...

certainly is, it's my favorite club of the town. it's a bit dingy in there but they play good music, have live bands and there is a very good chilled atmosphere their. not all the music is to my taste but compared to the usual "******" clubs where you get the wanabe hard nut kiddies, it's spot on :cool:

Lucy, I can sometimes enjoy myself at those places but for the majority it as you said. the other big club in the town is "The G-Spot" where all the teenies go, always trouble in there, but it's ok as I can never find it :D

Ian, it's getting a bit shocking trying to go out to decent places now, there's far too many 'pulling pubs' for kids where the music's too loud and sh|t, there's no places to sit and the kids wanna fight :rolleyes:.
I like nice quiet pubs with open fire places, comfy chairs, good quiet music and good company / conversation. Preferably the conversation about toilet humour or sex :).

Likewise, that's one of the reasons that I like living here where I do, as if you want an evening like you just described you can go out 10 mins outside the town and there are 100's of proper village pubs were you can get good food, proper beer and not have to raise your voice to 160 decibels to have a conversation :) luckily a weatherspoons has opened up in the town, which kinda gives that for a chain pub.Quote:
