I probably won't have as much time to waste in VBW though when all this happens.....but I'm still very jazzed about it!

cool :) I like the name :)
Just thought I'd warn you - I'm starting to learn C, so I'm gonna start asking loads of stupid questions soon in the C forum. I have read the FAQ though :)
Is that C or C++? C++ will be a lot closer to the existing knowledge you have of Java :)
Oh, and just as well you read the FAQ 'cause otherwise I might turn nasty ;) *mwah* :D
Good job I read the FAQ then, don't want to get on the wrong side of you ;) *mwah*
I'm doing C 'cos it's one of the languages I have to do next semester :)
Okay :) Bit of a step backwards since I find C++ a lot easier to do (and less cryptic), but I can still use it if I need to.
The main problem people have when learning C is that you're pretty much forced to learn the advanced stuff right from the start, there's no "correct" way to make a simple C program.
But we'll do our best to point you along the way :)
Thanks *mwah* :)
:)
I think my little prototype might be ready for some end-user playing ;)
Evening everyone
Hey Vicky :)
I'll be disappearing for food in a minute...

Went shopping on Saturday, bought myself a new dress :D
Mostly been downloading and sleeping this weekend. I've downloaded Eddie Izzard live :D, 6 RedDwarf edisodes, He-Man ;), The Jungle Book and Indiana Jones 1 & 3.
Very productive :p

KaZaA is pretty good for AVI's, MPEG's etc.. (That's where I've been getting my vids from :D)
Limewire isn't bad sometimes
AudioGalaxy is probably the best for MP3's
I've been having really good success with edonkey lately, getting whole bin files in one night  :)
How long did it take you to D/L all that stuff?Quote:

Do you need a fast connection to make this sort of thing work?Quote:

Depends on the remote connection, for 1hr 30mins of film it can take between 2 hours and 2 days.
On average I start them downloading before I go to bed and then they're on my harddrive when I wake up (7 hours later)
