Yeah, I know matey. The word "swastika" comes from the Sanskrit svastika - "su" meaning "good," "asti" meaning "to be," and "ka" as a suffix. :)Quote:

Half a bottle of champagne, a pack of nice smelling soaps all shaped like rose petals, expensive choccys, super sexy stockings (I was quite jealous ;)), a CD which I burned with romantic/sexy/funny songs and a pack of condoms (with one condom in and 5 rolled up balloons which say "congratulations")

I got a secret stash of crumpets.
If you make me 2 you can have 2
It's nice living on the seaside though, plus you can always go on school trips to Battle and write down boring facts about William the Conquerer (or Bastard - as he was affectionatly known, true story :)). :D . Or visit Rye and look around tourist shops :)Quote:

But Brum is fun for things like cinema, theatre, shopping, clubs, pubs, cost of living etc... :)
It's a bit scarey when you first arrive on the train though.. just how much concrete can you squash into such a small space?
It's a really ugly city :( but with lots to do.
The problem I face, is that I do love the south. been down here all my life, love the coutryside and such, the close proximity to london and my whole life at the moment is down here. but if I can't find anything around here or London, then I'm gonna have to move else where. well if I get the job in brum, I can then start stalking you properly  ;) :D
btw, I'm impressed with you're knowledge of the area. Battle and rye are indeed very nice places. fooking expensive to live in though.
and Ministry Of Sound is great.Quote:

Been to Rye & Battle a few times, v nice. I really like the south too, lived in Lewes/Hove/Falmer/Brighton for 4 years. V depressing when I first moved up to Brum, I felt a bit far away from home :( but made good friends here now :)
yep, it is st leaonards on sea. :) you're saying about teh feeling far away from home, that is the bit that is making me think about the whole moving thing. I'm sure that once I get through the initial period if I did do it, I would be fine. still think it's quite a big leap to make.
One small step for man, one giant leak for Wales :DQuote:

Hiya Katie, how goes America at the moment? :)
My little corner of it is groovy at the mo! How's your little corner of the British Empire?
Sadly not obeying my commands, but they'll learn... ;)Quote:

We made a mistake when we let you guys rule your own country.. look who you voted for :p he he he ;)
You too could have been ruled by our Queen.. her Royal Majesty, Elton John.
I know it's not a popular opinion but I like Elton John. I've done so since 1970. He's what made me practice the piano until I practically fell asleep at the keyboard! He could rule much better than our current administration I'm sure!!!!:D
I don't mind him either, he's done one or two really great songs. I love Your Song, especially the version in Moulin Rouge.
I'm a much bigger fan of Adam Ant, Queen, Abba.. basically cheesy songs :D. I love the Bangles etc... :)
Good afternoon one and all :)
currently sitting here at my desk with a tinny that the boss brought round :D must be becuase he's fooked up our wages again :(
Sounds like you've got a pretty good job there Ian :D .. apart from the wage messing :(Quote:

How come you want to move?
this did used to be a really good job. lot's of work, company doing well, nice friendly atmosphere and 10 mins away from home. The company has been in a very bad state for the last year, about 80 people got made redundant. Now there is hardly any work, no atmosphere and is just a complete and utter bore all day, every day. so Hence it's definately time to move on :)
oh dear, sounds like you might be right there. Lots more jobs out there though Ian :D some of them are even interesting
;)
Something should hopefully turn up. My CV is going round like crazy at the moment, and I'm getting some feedback from the agencies, just waiting for that Beloved phone call that will get me out of here :)
