I'm not at school during the day (yet again :rolleyes:)...I couldn't be bothered to stay since I would have had to spend 3 hours doing bugger-all :mad:
So I came home at 11:30 and had lunch :D

This company i'm with now is paying all this money for me and I'm doing stuff that I don't even class as work. I haven't even written on line of code yet, just been arsing around changing images and making text changes.

Tell me about it, Since new year I haven't been handed a new project to work on, I'm writing stuff for myself, planning hilidays and drinking copious ammounts of coffee flavoured drink ( Ithink its coffe anyway)......
I've even gone as low as playing snake on my phone. That'how desperate i'm getting

No, I wasn't pulling your leg. We do not have file creation rights... So I can't save anything to C: - its an NTFS partition so the security rights can be pretty closely controlled. We do have right access to the network, but you don't always want to run things off the network.

Dennis, what are you talking about. It's all visual (only the original sdk about 6 months ago was command line and notepad), and you can compile vb, c# and c++ from the ide.

I can't find an option to create a new C++ project
no im not on speed, i just get alot of energy at night. i get more engergy at night then in the day.
i feel bad for all u ppl who have mid terms. i just had an ss test on after the american rev. te he i only studied for a 1/2 hour. i think i got them all right but one. i guess its cause i get y they did everything, and i know alot bout the gov. that was the only test i had today. but on wed i had a test on cell reproduction, i studied alot more for that. GOOD THING I DONT HAVE TO TAKE MID-TERMS!!! i wish good luck to all who have them.
o yea in the moring me and my friend were talking and walking to r next class, then some jack ass put a popical stick w/ a sharp staple in it, and then flicked it into my friends neck. it went into his neck and he got pissed cause he also had a stiff neck, now hes a really good wresler. so he kick him so hard in the gut. we told on the kid and he go into troubler, but he just got talked to, cause that 0 toleren is really a bunch of bull, they just talk to u and nothing else.
then i got a bloody nose cause i had to play basket ball or i would fale gym. i got hit in the face w/ a basket ball.
ok the way i do c++ is the hard old way, but its the best. i dont use vc++. i use the win32 console app. this can be used on ANY OS!!! if ur using files then for each os ull have to can the code around alittle. i put in all the graphics. i dont use anything that microsoft gives u. so it can be used on any os. that how ppl used to do it, i think its better.
i dont care what ppl say about how hard rock, volent music, ect makes u do worse on tests. THEY HELPED ME!!! ON MY SCI TEST I NEEDED TO KNOW REGENERATION AND CAUSE I LISTEN TO LIMP BIZKIT I REMEMBERED IT IF I DIDNT I WOULD OF GOTTEN A 90!!!
What makes you do better is listening to something that helps stimulate your mind. Different music works on different people. Some may work better with classical, others with glam metal (shudder).
It depends on the person.
cause i took a sci test. i and couldnt think of regreneration as one of the answers so i was thinking and i remembered the song "my grenderation" by limp bizkit. and i remember regreneration.
o yea and thats what everyone says that classical helps ur mind.
Are you using the v.studio beta 1 or the sdk from 6 months ago? If it's the beta 1, then everything right there, just like normal, only looks a lot cooler ;-) If you want to do a new project, just go File|New then choose you vb,c# or c++ project.

should i get v.studio beta 1 now? or should i just wait for v.studio to come out? i have heard some bad things about v.studio beta 1. like dont use it if ur thinking of publishing your project. dose v.studio beta 1 make API easyer? come w/ any thing cool?
last night was the worst night that i ever had on a computer. yesterday i just installed photo shop to do graphics for my programs. i had 2 vbp, wmp7, aim, and star craft (a game) up.
i was playing star craft. and i was in four game. but the forth one had a problem. i was playing on-line, me and my allies had killed the computer. after that it should say congrats u have won, something like that. but it didnt. at 1st we thought someone had for got to put on allied vic so everyone cheacked and they did. then for some reason i told every one to unally w/ everyone then really. well we couldnt unally. the cheak boxs kept going back on.
so we all built up on de(defence) and off(offence), i got to be the game power, meaning i was the strongest. we all did this because every one was getting huge armies, and incase some one attacked none of us wanted to be killed. so we built up for a 1/2 hour.
i use msn internet (hey its free and better then AOL) and it kicked me off-line. i went to redial, and then to go exit the game to rejoin battle.net(the sever to play the game on) and my computer crashed. so i rebooted.
when i was on the start up part, thats like ur in DOS made. MY HARD DRIVE FALED!!! I WAS SCRAMING CURSES AND THE COMPUTER KEEP BEEPING!!! THIS REALLY SUCKED.
so i called my dad over.(he works at IBM and built his own computer, so he knows what hes doing)
so cheaked the hard drive threw all the things, from the setup menu. it ended up to be that the hard drive was off balnce or something like that. so makeing it spin fixed it. and now im happy!
Den, I beleive you can get beta1 off the M$ site, but you may have to be registered, or part of their beta program - I'm not sure (if you do, give me a shout and you can ftp it off me).
Nukem, the beta is not for releasing anything. It is to get to terms with porting existing code base, and getting an early look in on the tech (learn them skills) before release to market in June.
