My reasoning behind the Oasis satement is because although I thought That Definatley Maybe (which i had long before they got big) And Morning Glory Were two Superb albumns, I think the rest of the stuff they've done is ****e. Where as I think the only semi-bad album Blur have done is The Great Escape.

You don't want to be wasting your time with John Smith's bitter, there's much nicer beers available.
Indeed, I am going to a CAMRA (CAMpaign for Real Ale) beer festival in Falmouth tomorrow and they have over 180 different beers available. Among the multitude of fine ales available will be Skinner's (brewery) and they are simply the best in the country.

No VB is not a 'proper' bitter. It's main feature is that it is cheap :D lol... Tell me, does Germany still have its beer laws in force ie no chemicals? Or has too much competition ruined it? I have no idea of the cities I have been to in trips to Europe but I have been to Carlsberg brewery, Heineken brewery, every small town brewery in Germany!! :p
At the risk of starting someting... have u tried Canadian Moosehead? I really liked that but it is so expensive over here (ie Import only) say $5 a bottle (2 pounds roughly)
PS I have never heard of or tried Skinner's... :) Must say I didnt like McEwans too much... and the cans are too big!! lol get warm too quickly

You wouldn't have. I don't believe it's exported. Indeed, It rarely gets out of Cornwall but it is a fairly new brewery and I believe it will spearhead a real-ale revival in this country! Their beers have a light, hoppy and fruity flavour that puts many other beers to shame. It's in a different league to McEwans so don't let that beer put you off if you ever come across some.Quote:

p.s. A bitter getting warm is not necessarilly a bad thing in this country, the flavour get's better!
I'm sure they still do. I worked over there for a year, and tasted the best lager ever - slightly lighter and sweeter than Cjeck beer. Those small indie brewerys are the best thing - amazing stuff...Quote:

lol thks simon.. i think it was mcewans lager :p Gaffer, i stayed in germany for a few months and yeah the beer is excellent... only prob is that it takes so long to pour!! lol And i love the trust system of handing ur coaster up to the bar.. wouldnt stand a chance in hell here.
