No it's not, as my router blocks DCC transfers, I bet most people don't have mIRC etc installed, and for the meeting tools, Yahoo and NetMeeting are the best choice. Sorry, no IRC.
(you can configure routers ya know ;))

Well, j2k is project leader, so the master plan is up to him. :p :p I know what you're talking about, I've worked with Java programmers. :)
Well it's pretty simple...
As most peoples intentions are to make this product go online (and who knows, even make money on it if you get a real load of people to use it)... (well.. ICQ started the same way so...)
You just have to make sure that the application has no real flaws and that is user-friendly to the max.
And to be that way you have to code proffesionally, or atleast write down what has to be done, how its done and when the coder is busy that it documents all its progress and if it finds bugs that he or she can't fix that he or she documents them too (really, some people dont document that since they are embarresed that they cant fix it themselves).
Also, always keep a backup of each source (but i think you guys already do that ;)

Just look at other names and just look on what makes them special....
You got AIM - (Which is also a word, so easily remembered)
You got ICQ - (I seek U, so It's relevant)
You got MSN - Which sounds reasonably good and it's M$ :)
so...
Think up something thats around 3 letters and sounds good short and long version ;)
and imho.. "The project" sux as a (project)name :P

MSN Classic was a true online service. I have a big book for MSN Classic. In fact - it never was a messenger service. I don't think you know what MSN Classic was. It launched in 1995, and it lived till 1997. It was not a messenger service.

I've set up a poll on www.alsoft.f2s.com/revolutionnetwork (and I'll leave the folder name until the final name is found) where you can submit your name suggestions and vote for the one you like best.
I also uploaded vBulletin lite but it is not the even a shadow of the vBuletin we're using here.

filburt1, I dunno what you have, since several weeks my F2S server is (at least if you connect to the internet with a 56kbps modem) nearly as fast as any other server.
