Thanks mendhak, Il look into that.
Dune. Again.
I have a collection of old classified newspapers from 2002, advertising houses and cars, if you are that bored.Quote:

After a rather bizarre read of the "American Gods", I'm now reading "The graveyard book" both from Neil Gaiman.
The latter book is very interesting and I'm quite engrossed in it.
I am reading this author.

Dead Until Dark - Charlaine Harris
I have just started Heinlein's "Stranger in a Strange Land".
Somehow I missed this offering in HS. But I got the version with the secret, extra 60,000 words! bonus!
It will probably take me a while, since i am so easily distracted by shiny things, an there are no pictures.
Just finished The Sharing Knife : Horizon, the fourth book in the Sharing Knife
quartet by Lois McMaster Bujold.
Saga of Seven Suns. It's a 7-book series, I'm on book 3 now.
Very easy to read, although it's a big series. Fast paced story, no digressions, and very short chapters so the author doesn't ramble on at all. I really like the writing style.
I am reading a series of graphic novels by Neil Gaiman.
This is what I started with.
The Necroscope - By Brian Lumley - yet again !
Dust - By Elizabeth Bear - which was actually pretty good, not read much really good new Science Fiction, i generally just read the old stuff much better.
I quite Like Charles Stross though, he is another newer author that i have read.
An interesting read :afrog:
New Neil Gaiman stuff? I recall reading his sandman stuff years ago - it was great.Quote:

I'm a big Isaac Asimov fan though it's been a good number of years since I've read any of his books. A couple of my personal favorites of his are The Robots of Dawn and its sequel Robots and Empire. I highly recommend them for anyone who likes sci-fi. The second book introduces a new law of robotics that one of the robots comes up with.Quote:

I've read every one of the Clive Cussler novels. I particularly love the Dirk Pitt series. More recently though i've read The White Tiger, and now i'm reading Speaking In Tongues. I've been reading a book every 2 days or so for the past few months, so I can't even remember every title
I'm an extremely eclectic reader.
Dharma Bums -- Jack Kerouac

I personally recommend Colin Forbes very, very highly, specifically his series of books involving the SIS, with main character Tweed. Extremely, extremely riveting.
Alexandria by Lindsey Davis
Saga of Seven Suns, Book 4.
Thomas Covenant series... 'Fatal Revenant'. It's prolonged.
That was old news...
Now we got second-draft of "Against All Things Ending" with the agent - third draft expected...

Great, more of Linden?
I hate that Linden is now the protagonist. The series is known as "The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant". It should be about Thomas Covenant. If I buy a book about C#, I don't want to read about PHP. The book has C# in the title. Don't try to twist it around to fit your writing block.
(I'll read it anyways because once you invest time in a series, you have to go on)

Jack Vance is a genius, for any of you that like Science Fiction or Fantasy and haven't read a Jack Vance Book, well you should.
Fantasy -
Any of the Dying Earth Series but particularly 'Eyes of the Overworld' or 'Cugel's Saga'
Or The Lyonesse series is particularly good
Sci Fi -
The Demon Prince Series
The Planet of Adventure Series
The Alastor Series
"The Truth" - Terry Pratchett.
-ing brilliant.
Is that the one where he goes up against those skeletal beings with a pair of missile launchers on their shoulders? I hated those things. Hope he has a plasma gun, as he could just blast the missiles.
I just finished "The Bravest Man" about submarine warfare in WWII, and am now reading a history of The Yom Kippur War. It's about time for my fall sailing trip, and I have a good library selected for that one, covering Life in a mideival city, the Napoleonic Wars, the history of the Bounty, the history of Piracy in the Caribbean, an account of the battle of Agincourt, and the history of the confederate raider Shenandoah.
Good to be diverse.
