Shaggy, show us the place where you squeeze fish.
I scoff at all ye with your tiny little tables. My enormous Ikea desk is all-powerful. And also a bit wonky because there's a bolt missing (in the table, that is).
borrowed pc on the right... getting my new pc up and running on the left, still a few teething problems at the moment though :D
Nice deskQuote:

usually i wouldn't mention anything about laptops, but that looks like one on steroids, what sort is it, and do those speakers sound half as bad as they look?Quote:

Third: Those two little 80W speakers can make a room shake with incredible clarity. Without question the best computer speakers I've ever heard... and before you go insulting me, I've heard some damned good ones. As in, home theater systems that had the same quality of sound. I know good equipment, and everything I have is high level. Not top of the line anymore, but up there for what I do.
i wasn't mocking... i've tried thinkpads and they suck big time ;)... and laptops can come in handy rather than loading your important stuff onto other peoples machines offsite or travelling os.Quote:

where's the new pic?
I used to have a thinkpad i bought at goodwill for $20.00
I kept it around because it was just powerful enough to mount on the wall in the bathroom and surf the web wirelessly with while taking a dump. It was one of the models that was wider when you opened it because the keyboard was split in two and on a gimbal.
Here's a picture of the computer i had to work on when i was in the navy

Trust me that isn't a joke.
really... 34... 1973... surely that is what computers looked like when you were 10 years old?
you would be surprised what is on a destroyer built in 1976.
Maybe I left it on another forum... I forget. Too many of them. Anyway, I have a Lenovo ThinkPad for work, and holy cow is it a workhorse. It boots with 75 processes after I cleaned it up, and with over half a gig of RAM being used. I need to get it upgraded and reloaded, though... Windows is getting cluttered. Not gonna be a fun day... installing software for eight hours. The comp in that picture is an HP Pavilion. Clean little machine, high-gloss screen... not good in sunny days, but in normal lighting, I could shave in the damn thing. Such a clear reflection. Not as much of a workhorse, though.Quote:

As for my speakers, they're Philips. 80W between the two of them, and holy cow are they awesome. I've filled up entire buildings with awesomely clear sound and have yet to max the speakers out.
that's pretty neat
if i'd do school a bit better i'd be sitting with 2x600w speakers in my room :D
i haven't read anything about phillips for a while, but you're the musician so I am sure they are great speakers.
what they should do to laptops is make the keyboard full sized.... and put a number pad where the finger pointing device it (all of that wasted space!)
are you gonna start work on your tower system next?
Why do people make it look like they can multi task by taking a photo of three PC's?
Nice red ones.
sounds like a decent idea about the number pad, except most typists rest their wrists there and that would press the keys. Maybe if it was under a lid... If they made an affordable laptop with a touch screen, i would buy one. (i know they make them but they aren't affordable)

Haven't played the piano in nearly a year
