Change all the thread titles, and all the signature links to reflect this.
It'll really help. The project will feel like your own then and you'll find yourselves all working harder at it.

I really want that project to work, but what I've been seeing lately is just a bunch of nothing!!! The name is just a working title anyways, so just take one and go ahead, there is going to be so many more decsision if you take that long for each one you will never even get an execetutable file!!!
Back when gaming told me that he hates people that only ***** around and don't help I made some graphics for the power and mana status... well I did not send it because I do not like it to much (I am not into graphics).
Well I do not want to complain only, but I think it is time that you follow some of the points people put here before on what to do instead of discussing the name for the next couple of month.

How's it going on? Sorry I wasn't around a while, and I'm still very busy... so can anyon give me a short conclusion what you've done yet? Is it going to be 3D, tile-based, realtime,... tell me what you decided.

to flame and gaming: I know you have done more than just chosing the name... it's just that the last 20 posts were about nothing but the name :D
I am going to begin geting a few graphical ideas done (such as a quick idea as to how the screens will look). This will include such stuff as what each screen will have on it and the order of them. Then I will post them up here. They will be simple, possbly with color coding.:rolleyes: I will include all the features that I have recorded in the document.
Are we going to create an animation for the opening secrence (I know the spelling is bad.), or just have a splash screen?
They will take a while to complete, as the next few days will be busy for me (due to Easter, a few birthday parties, and school).
As Fox asked, how are we going to make the ? I presume it will be a 2D tile-based real-time RPG.
I have gotten 3 screens done, but have run out of ideas for the needed screens. The current ones are: livery, buy item/clothing, and new character. They are currently on paper, and I will be making examples in VB soon. I am not going to bother with a log-on, or new account screens, as the stuff needed on those is obvesis.
I currently have the possible clothing set to: hats, masks, shirts, gloves, pants, and shoes. The current items types are: helm, amulet, weapons/shields, body armor, rings, belt, gloves, and boots.
I currently have the clothing screens setup to handle diffent colors and disgins of each piece of clothing.
Oops, hit the button by accident before I was done.
Anyways, will we have a place to store extra items (not just in a backpack)? I mean for anyone, cause if we provide housing, they will be able to store it in the house. An inn would also allow storage, but not as much. This would be like a free chest that every player/character has.
Here is the four disgins that I have done. They are in the form of an EXE. The EXE uses a control which I downloaded as freeware (it is included). To display a differnt form, use the displayer, which is a form that has 4 buttons (it is hidden behind the startup form). If you wish, I will post the code (although there is no code to really look at...).
I forgot to place some stuff on the New Character Screen. I have just uploaded a new version. I don't belive anyone downloaded the old one.

hm I heard of some case where 2 parents could not decide which name to give their little boy so 'X1' was put into his passport, and he was to be renamed later, just needed something for the passport :)......
Come on guys, there's loads of work to do and you're spending your time in here chatting and arguing over the name.
Gaming- it's your thread and your concept - you decide on a name and change the thread title. It doesn't matter what you choose, it will be open to amendment for some time to come, but it is important to erase the Zelda branding before it gets too difficult.
Go on, do that now.
Good. Now start designing the game itself. Write a plot or a structure and start building it from the ground up. Work out what the framework and engine need and delegate jobs to team members. I'd love to see this project successful, but it means better communication and motivation.
