lol, very true ;)
It is retirement capital of britain unfortunately, and they do hog all the damn hospital beds, which is probably why we've got quite a swish hospital.
I don't know why everyone comes here, it's no warmer than further along, like the Isle of Wight or Bournmouth or something. Eastbourne's hanging in there which a good majority
Another pub/club has closed down too :( The Litten Tree which was pretty good for a few rounds of pool has bitten the dust and is to be replaced with flats
No wonder you went to Florida for vacation Chris....felt right at home with all the blue-haired, que-tips!!!!!!:D

AMF? - I can't quite place that?Quote:

My parents have got a 'retirement' place in Worthing (although they haven't retired yet). The big deal is supposed to be that it's only an hour from London by train (is that right?) and that Worthing is sheltered by Beachy head (is that how you spell it?) from the cold wind of the North Sea unlike Eastbourne.
More like 1.5-2hrs by train, and hour is pusing it. Possibly sheltered by beachy head, I didn't know that but it is perfectly possibly. More likely is that it's sheltered by the South Downs. but either way way, it's rarely cold enough to get snow.Quote:

AMF: Along the yellow seafront road, opposite the pier

This is where Englewood is BTW. As you can see it's a fair distance to Orlando
http://www.vbforums.com/attachment.php?postid=739671
AMF - I'm still trying to place it   - is it the sort of Pizza place
I can't say I believe the sheltered by Beachy head thing - Worthing seems to have exactly the same climate as Eastbourne
(btw if you see a rather nice willowy blue-eye blonde zooming along the seafront at Eastbourne its probably my sister-in-law - she does her daily training there)
i'm bored
But now you can be bored in WELSH! - much cooler ;)Quote:

most of the ones zooming along have got them invalid carts....
they dont give a fig about norimal pedestrians....
:)
AMF bowling is below the only multi-story on the seafront which is directly opposite the Lido, which is next to the pier. The shopping precinct Montague Street is behind the car park. Go west a few hundred feet from AMF and the litten tree is on the right overlooking the promonade.Quote:

t'is a bugger they closed down. The last opening was on new years eve.
It's like when they closed the only decent cinema and turned it into a bingo hall!!
erm . . . actually she runs for England (3000M and Cross country I think) so the invalid cart would be cheating:pQuote:

Ummmm, I think you forgot someone Hint hint
<-----
I'm WELSH dammit, NOT english
I thought Wales,Scotland and one more area ...whatever..all made up the UK and UK is also known as England and all residents as English....
no.
England Wales and Scotland make up Britain. Britain and Northern Ireland (and other dependent islands) make up the UK
The inhabitants of England are English.
The inhabitants of Wales are Welsh.
The inhabitants of Scotland are Scottish.
All are considered British
It's a farce I now, and it's people like Vicky who are determined to keep it that way.
I'm not Indian or British or Welsh.......I'm an American.
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all"

I don't recall saying Britain = America (which incidently is actually a continent)
yea yea
bw britain & wales you could subclass and get it done so i guess you are right one way on the inheritance chain...
I know at least 5 cheap dirty hoes
Contrary to popular belief, I'm not one of them.
