FTW in reverse if we cant get any more obvious without being kicked ourselves
That's about 10 posts trying to explain it to him.
Well, doh.. :D
Maybe I want to get banned? Makes me look cool!
IMHO, if a site IS requiring COPPA or not, if a site is openly allowing pre-adults, then there is an expectation of acceptability for the allowed agegroups.Quote:

VBF is not an over 18 site. A 6 year old should be able to visit and browse without coming across certain posts.
For example, if you, as a website, are visibly allowing 6 year olds onto your website, then certainly your website does not contain accesable hard or soft core pron.
In the Days of John, this site has consistently been intended to be "Family Friendly". Brad seems to be continuing that effort. Obviously, Hard Profanity is and should be a cause for a determination of banishment by TPTB. Mild Profanity IMHO should obviously be acceptable. THe problem arises when trying to determine what is Mild Profanity.
While growing up, I was taught that "Piss" was not to be uttered. Hence, "Piss" is a bad word to some people, and is considered hard profanity {Well, to my mom anyways, :p ). However, to the Euro's, apparently "piss", as in "on the piss", is considered harmless, and is quite common. So, With "Piss" ranging in consideration from extremely distasteful, to totally harmless, should this become a filtered word, a word to initiate a banishment on?
ehhh, time for work.

As a european I can say I would consider that word to be highly offensive.
The one that does amuse me is 'fanny' I belieive it is a fairly acceptable word to Americans (much like our bum) but means something a lot less wholesome over here.
I would have no problem with piss, but, fanny on the other hand.
 I'd never mention that in front of a woman lets put it that way!
To all concerned, the thread was not titled "Why is my poo light brown?", it was a thread asking if anyone would drink expensive coffee made from animal poo and linked to a news article describing the new fad from an obscure part of asia.Quote:
"Why is my poo light brown?"
I have already said this earlier in this thread and have apologized and quite frankly resent the implication that i did post a thread about the color of my poo.
Furthermore, i have never used the terms Hugly or pensi (well just once) and did not think that poo would be offensive since i have seen oop posted in the more serious forums and just presumed the p was dropped. (what is that? :ehh: ) so cut me a break. Thanks.
Everyone knows robots don't go to the toilet - they're too bussy a' bending
So you prefer bums to fannys?Quote:

Btw, I get the feeling that the 'people in charge' really don't understand what Chit Chat is about.
It's a place where you can do crazy if your collegues are driving you crazy, or rant if you need to.
Normal board rules don't apply here.
And it's discrimination if the admins decide which type of humor is incorrect.
No - is a priviledge of ownership.Quote:

No - it isn't a place where you can do crazy. You can have fun in some of the threads, but this is a place for non-programming topics to be discussed as well. In those threads if you go crazy, you will have your ID banned.Quote:

Right and Wrong.Quote:

You are wong in that the AUP does apply here.
You are right because an unwritten rule is to give warnings before banning. Based on the lack of seriousness I'm seeing regarding the topic of what is inappropriate even in chit chat, I've asked the moderators to forego warnings and simply ban offenders at this point.
