Thanks Gaffer! That was certainly a bad joke!
I got up this morining and found out that my cars had been broken into. They took Travis' skateboard, his tools, the kid's diskman but more importantly they took ALL MY CD's!!!!!!! I had two folders worth (around 50) plus a few that were in jewel cases in my center console. The SPs said that they had had ten calls in the past 48 hours about the same thing!!!! ****, ****, ****!!!!!!!!!!:( Some of the music I got for Christmas and hadn't listened to more than twice. There wasn't any damage to the cars that can't be fixed though so I guess that's a bright side.:( :)
Poor you!!!!! :( That is an awful thing to confront in the morning
(mind you, I had a few dodgy things to confront in the morning when I was a student.......aaaaanyway... )
But in the whole grand scheme of things, it could be worse. In London recently a girl got shot in the head by a guy that stole her cell phone. Another 15 year old girl got raped on Xmas Eve after she climbed nito an unlicenced mini cab...
All the stores sell Jefferson Airplane CDs now... ;)
It funny you should say that because we were saying that at leat 50% of what they stole they would probably never have heard of. I realize in the grand scheme of things its not important but it still just pisses me off!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!Quote:

When thing like that happen to me, especially in the morning, my day gets progressively worse.
For example:
I woke up one day last week, and managed to smash Mrs G's expensive vase on the floor. Bad start to the day.
Got to the front entrance at work, juggling 2 coffees. Put one coffee on top of the other in order to reach for my pass in my backpocket. Dropped the top cofee over the nice pine lobby floor, dropped the other over my new tie.
Had a hypoglycaemia a lunch.
Got blamed by a colleague for farting that afternoon. Wasn't till I got home that I realised I had dogshit on my shoe.
Making you feel better :)
Oh, OK then:
Two cannibals eating a clown. One says to the
other "Does this taste funny to you?"
Ok.....I checked my shoes, put a lid on my coffee and I'll make sure to eat lunch....thanks for the tip!
I like the jokes.........you are definitely the King!!!!!!!:D
Okay so I won't ask people how they are...might not be a good idea...
I'm getting progressively better............just sort of took the wind out of my sails this morning. I should be full of hot air any minute now! ;)
Moral of the story: never leave anything on show in a car, including doughnuts
One of my mates cars was broken into, and yes, all they stole was a packet of doughnuts.
Having said that I left a brand new computer sitting in the back seat of my car ealier today in Tescos car park for 30 mins...
Good good ;)
This was in my driveway at my house though. :(
nowhere is sacred unfortunately
Yep.......I have no doubt that the SPs will get them though.
So.........let's change the subject. How did you like Flori-duh?
lets.Quote:

flori-duh (some sort of reference to residents of Palm Beach?!) was good the first week, a bit crap the second week. We actually had to change the air con unit to keep it above 70 coz it was chilly.
The scenery around Manasota Key is beautiful, infact, I wouldn't mind living there (and being an Anglophile, that's really saying something). However it's a looooooooooong way to the hustle of Orlando, and I-75 is perhaps the most boring road ever.
North Fort Myers was pretty, but Ft Myers Beach was really...er...toy-towny.
oh, and traffic cops are arseholes.
All in all, not bad considering we lost all our passports at Tampa airport and spent a few days with no identity and no return tickets.
There is an awful lot of pretty scenery in the US....but no matter where you travel here the traffic cops are *******s.
I like California better though because it's not as humid and the natives are definitely more open-minded.:)
of course you are ;)
I was watching the Weather Channel on occasions (and you think we talk about nothing other than the weather!!) and California had a bit of a rough time of it. Some rain, only 50's. My ideal place in the world would be a constant 70s, and so far i've found Tenerife is about as close as you can get to that.
Yeah we have been having a bit of weather here lately. Right now though it's around 63 degrees.....but I do live in the desert so that's a little colder than I'd like.
evening all :)
it's amazing how one day can change your whole prospective on things :D
Hi Sweetie!:)
Hi Katie :)
A couple of agencies have rung me today who are interest in me for a couple of roles and I met an old friend on the train who I haven't seen for ages. he's quite high up in the company and they are currently looking for people, so I've sent my C.V to him and he's going to pass it on. so All in all things are looking alot better than yesterday :)

Katie: How to use roundabouts
It's australian, but same rules apply as they also drive on the left :p

I would expect nothing else!;)
Chris, thaks for the roundabout info. Definitely think I'd have to be a passenger first before I tried driving those.
Roundabouts are cool...although I have two of the busiest 3-lane roundabouts in the county on my route to/from work...not nice.
They look just a little intimidating to me at first glance.
You get used to them - you have to round where I am, there's millions of them! They use them as traffic-calming devices
Anyway, I'm off to bed now, night all!
Dawm roundabouts, they always start as 3 lanes then become 2 lanes :(
Night Parksie!!!!
Hey mom!:p
Hello from the cheese shop :(
Hey parksie!
you know you want to...
 :p :D
