If you have any clauses in your contract favourable to you (such asnotice periods etc) then you should try and get the boss to reissue a contract (even for a month or two)... I mean, if there's work, he needs tht staff, right?

yeah that's what I'm thinking at the moment. if they extend me for a month or two at first, to see the end of this blasted project then at elast I might be ablt to find other work in that time.

Yeah, then they canned it, saying they couldn't afford to maintain it.... normally I love that kind of "lets get a contractor to design it for a few months then ditch it", but I had so many other deadlines to hit, it got in the way... am now the meat between a NY-Japanese sandwich :(
And some dildo behind me is playing frigging streaming radio on his laptop (Capital FM crap) beacause he still thinks he's on holiday....

I got in this morning to 4 eamails from Tokyo, 1 sent on Christmas day, 3 sent on boxing day - one of them wantign to know why I never responded to his email from the 25th!!!!

We got one from Richer sounds - NAD - and connected to TV usign S-video cable, and hooked up to my Separates for sound... It's a good setup and only cost the price of the DVD player...
My cash-strapped brother uses his PS2, bought the remote control, and gets a fab picture and sound...
I wanted a forest retreat for Xmas, a few tools to hunt and fish, and a hammock...
I got socks instead :rolleyes:

Gaf - we have a NAD amplifier, it's pretty good; hardly any noise on it. My parents kinda pushed the boat out when they got a new hi-fi so they got a new amp, CD player (Arcam Alpha) and a pair of Kef Q35s :D
When I move my amp in there we get surround as well but that's normally sitting next to me here :p

Got a fecking parking ticket and removal notice this morning on my rental car

Got a Video Conferance with NY this afternoon, and I haven't shaved nor bothered with a suit today...
I also use my PS2. it's OK but you ocassionally get the odd lip sink problem
Ian day is the wedensday, hence why I don't want to trample all the way up on that day :). I've got that remote control, the only bummer is that you've got to stick the new Player on your memory card and it takes up over 2mb worth of space :(
Same setup as me - That Arcam Alpha (I got 7SE) is the mutts nuts. I got a NAD 340 amp. Never seen the Kef speakers - I got Eltax Monitor V's (pretty good).Quote:

The overall sound is soooo crisp, and lovely from a DVD...
It's a dangerous hobby to get into methinks. I stopped when I bought the Cambridge Pacific Interconnects :rolleyes:

Very dangerous hobby, especially when you know what you're doing because it makes the salespeoples' job easier because it's piss easy for them to persuade you where the extra money goes :(

oooooh yes, with you on that one. Actually, the biggest danger is with someone like me, who has a little knowledge (mostly from "Which HiFi").
I've settled down with this current setup now and liking it VERY much (it handles dirty Funk like an Afro handles large-collared shirts :D )
Minidisc separate may be the next purchase though :rolleyes:

yeah, it's been a lovely couple of days and I haven't even drunk that much :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:.
christmas day was nice. there was my brother, mom and dad and my nan all round for the day. Got £100 woth of clothes vouchers for one of my favorite shops, new PS2 game, a couple of books (Dean Koontz new one and an Ali G one :D) and a few other odds and sods :). all in all a lovely couple of days.

probably not, as it will be a wed night and I have to get up at 5.30 the next day. will more than likely the same as last year, get a bunch of my close friends out and spend a few hours in a pub having a chat :)
That getting up early stuff does kind of put a damper on things doesn't it!
it certainly does, I had just started to get back in the rythem of doing it, and then the christmas period comes along to bugger up my body's clock. Getting up past 10am is a hard life ;)
