Everyone, make sure that you have DX8.1 installed before running the demo. Read the readme. Its there for a reason =).

Windows Update is pretty slow right now so it'll be ~10 minutes until I've rebooted and am able to go into the demo.
Simple, sleek, and effective. Merry Christmas indeed! But may I ask, why does the fire stop after you move a unit?
Oh and it runs at 100fps on my machine.
The fire disappears because I reuse the emitter for the fountain when you click to move the unit. I can fix that if you want. Did you open the control menu, and use the Move button?

Actually it happened when I right clicked, there is a particle spray that shoots up, remember? :D

I fixed the disappering fire thing. Open the control menu (right click a guy), then click the "Move" button. Check out the PSys that shows up =).

I don't see any changes necessary. But in the next release, Zaei, is it possible to have rain or snow (with that dynamic terrain you were talking about?)
Yeah, I can do that, but the next demo is pretty far off. I've been really crunching on this one, and my parents dont share my enthusiasm =). I have to cut down on the time i spend on this thing (but not so much... I will still be working). But yes, I can do that, as well as the camera stuff.

Okay, that's alright.... Hmmm. I've got an idea. Why don't we have a code base online that you two can share your code with? Simply your different versions of the project files online, and after modifying it you would upload your new version.

i got a project in on like the 7th of january for skool so i will be working hard on that (and skateboarding), after that im a bit more free to code un til bout february till feb 16th when i will be getitng another project done, but after that im all free free free.
It will probably be easier for me (or you) to hold all of the source, so that it can be checked over before adding it to the project. Once that is done, it can be integrated. I want to have every sub system and component to be tested before anything happens, so that things are safe and sound.

Im sorry I havent posted in a while. I have been a bit under the weather. When I am feeling better, I will get the new engine up and running (this should take 2 weeks).

The new engine? What is this may I ask?? :)
The engine is getting a bit cumbersome, and I am getting a tad lost in the guts of it. So, I am going to do some reorganizing of the classes that I have, and, instead of function based DLLs (like I have now), I will be exporting various classes from the DLLs, along with some new ones, that do some of the things I had implemented in the system dll. I will also be adding the ablity to change resolution in-game, and such. So, not a new engine, just a different organization/re wiring of the old.

Well guys, I have been working on this Demo for 2 months, and ten days. Now it all comes out, and we get to see, for the first, time, what the public thinks of our little project =). I would like to take a bit of time to thank you all for everything you have done to the present, and for all of the support. If it wasnt for you guys, I would never have gotten here on my own. So, Thank you all.
