Gaffer - being serious for a change, according to the guys and gals that get the contracts for the company I work for, say that things are actually starting to pick up again. Slowly but surely :)
Gaffer I'm based in Surrey.. Close to both London and the South Coast... I now have 7 months commercial experience... but its being an arse to get work! As there is a lul in work.
Chris - over the last couple of months, the contract market has been deader than a step's concert for the over 10's, but things are starting to pick up and the permi market has been pretty steady also.
As Ian said, it does look like things are picking up slowly, but it will take a few months for everyone that DID get dumped (well, the good ones anyway) to get back into it.Quote:

I know... I have so many CV's floating around in various companies and agencies that I hope that something will materialise!!! At the moment I am having to suffer with doing Data Entry from 9-5 to get some money in (purely because it pays half decent and that it isn't shop or pub work)...... But I will hopefully have an interview tomorrow for a company in Farnham. Which will be nice. :)

I think that you helped me last time Gaffer... I won't say no to any assistance... I have some agencies looking for permenant work for me in London too... I much prefer permenant work to Contract... Though at the moment anything will do!!! :)
chris - Gaffer and I had a chat about this last week, and although there is quite a few scam jobs (agencies just trying to get your CV), www.jobserve.com is still quite a good site :)
