I was just messing around on my other computer in Linux... trying to get my internet connection working....
I'm about to drop kick that P.O.S. out the window :mad:
I tried connecting my LINUX OS to the internet, but fell over at the modem connect string. No-brand modem, you see.
Did you succeed?

I used that one program from that penguin website, and I set it all up correctly(I think)...
when I set the demand-thing(can't remember the exact name of it) to no.. it tricks me into thinking I'm connected. I type in: adsl-start and it just goes right to the bash command, like it should.. but when I type adsl-status, it says it can't open the pppoe.something.etc... file.... then, when I change the domand-thing to yes, when it tries to connect, it times out.. :confused:
