That doesn't prove anything. In fact it definitely looks like if you were actualy the one having a conversation with a guy from IBM. Also, In all the videos you posted I never saw sentences that long outputed by your application, why is that so, can't you have such a conversation with it and show us ?
And out of curiosity, in your videos, it seems that your application is a Windows Form application, so I am wondering, what modifications did you make to allow your application to read what the IBM guy was writing and to allow it to output to the chat window ?
This thread is getting better and better :bigyello:
Do you honestly think anyone would believe that that was actually a chatbot? Clearly it is just you. And even if it was a chatbot, I don't see any AI in there at all. I've seen chatbots written in a couple of hours that give better responses than that.
If you actually made an advanced AI you would have at least posted a compiled application already where we could play with it and see how it reacts. Your video's do not show anything but gibberish and this chat is even worse...
Oh, and I guess it's by design that your chatbot speaks the same broken english as you? Not that not speaking english is a problem, it just seems strange that an advanced AI capable of understanding fairly long and complex sentences makes spelling errors :)
she was only input the sentences ending stlauder, the modifications : me using copy paste and enter as a midiator
i pasted her concated output, the long output is the result of me pressing enter in the software copying her output then doing this again to make the sentence longerQuote:

As I said, It still doesn't prove anything. Do you really think we'll believe this just like that?
Another reason why I can't beleve this is that the opinions reflected in your copy/pasted chat reflects yours too much.
"you: i don't get it if all you give me is links why did ibm put this chat in the first place, i was hoping to get answers, but you are just linking me, perhapse someone else can answer me in the chat, maybe a male ?"
Saying that like women are total idiots looks too much like you. At least from what I have read from your comments.
But hey, the day you will post a compiled version of your app, it'll be a pleasure to give it a try.
only me and 2 other guys has ever chated with her, she learn from me like humans learn mother language from parents
That's too bad, you'd have more accurate opinions from people here if they could give it a try.
So....how old is this program? How old were you when you learned the "mother language"...or any other language. The human brain is the greatest learning engine known to man, yet it takes the brain a couple years to learn to the point of using languages. Assuming this program ran all the time, would it really be able to pick up the concepts embodied in language sufficient to be able to carry on a conversation in considerably less time than a human brain? Frankly, I would say that comprehension of most words used in any discussion can only come through some experience. If you have no concept of the word being used, would you even use it?
After seeing this thread from start to finish, I'd have to say that I don't believe you have created anything even close to an AI. What I can't decide is which side of the fraud you are on. Are you trying to deceive us, or just yourself?
shaggy hiker i have been studing japanese for 1 year and 7 months now just to get a better understanding of language learning :
memory , to remember that x in language 1 is said y in lang 2 that is the main time consumer (to remember this not in the day learned)
the 2nd is speech recognition, to get what sound word was said.
then in the specific case of japanese there are 2000 characters to remember the 300 hiragana and katakana took me 2 weeks, then months of sharpening
to remember a 100 kanji characters is 2 months
maybe, but learning another language while you already know one is not the same. Shaggy is talking about the first language you learn in life. To learn this one you need experience, lots of it in order so assimilate the different meanings of each word and combination of words and also the meanings of the tone used. I agree with SH and I also do not believe you created an AI. But I think you do believe it, maybe. You are claming loud that it is an AI and that Universities are worthless etc... But still you never brought a REAL proof of your so called AI.
But damn I love this thread anyway.
Well you (moti) could prove us all wrong and clean up at this years Loebner Prize, $25'000 if you can fool two.
he also ignored me, what a douche he is (hugh loebner)
Learning Japanese, huh? When you finish, tell me what this says: エラーは、文章を変換できませんでした。
(There is no way you learned hirigana + katakana in 2 weeks, by the way.)
bad test minitech, google can do it :P
Whoa! My browser can actually render that text! :D
Anyway, I'm still not seeing anything eventful from this "AI" yet; I'm also pretty sure someone that has a degree in computer science can tell you that Artificial Intelligence is extremely hard to create. Look at "Watson" that IBM had created. It took them years and thousands of processors to compute data that had to be entered into the computer. Cleverbot isn't even true AI but it still has some interesting output.
As I said earlier, if your program is as "advanced" as you say it is, post it in a compiled executable (I'm pretty sure you can obfuscate it if you want) and let us take a swing at it with all of "her" advanced features.
Google can do almost anything, except artificial intelligence. :DQuote:

I'm pretty sure there's many people entering their own attempts at an AI for the Loebner prize, and I am also sure that all of them make at least a little sense. If you sent your incomprehensible youtube video's to them as an entry then you shouldn't be surprised you were ignored. I mean come on... I would have a bigger chance winning the prize by putting on a cardboard box painted like a robot and making bleeping sounds.

What has me puzzled about the whole thing is the fact that you don't do more than show videos and transcripts of output. No rational person will accept such easily fabricated things (though frankly, no rational person would fabricate those videos, either) as an indication of much of anything. You haven't mentioned anything about the technology behind it. You haven't given anyone access to it for any kind of testing, yet you seem to expect that people should take your word for it? That makes it sound like a con game, and not a very good one, at that.
I'm still wondering if there is anybody in customer services of any kind, anywhere in the world who, when faced with a question from a client "Am I a chat bot? Yes or no?" would reply "You know what? I think Yes. Yes you are".
More to the point, is there anybody in customer services, anywhere in the world, who wants to go to their boss and say "Somebody just contacted our customer services helpline. Asked all sorts of questions. But I was suspicious and told him I thought he was a chatbot. Then he hung up".
Mein Gott! Your right! It all makes sense now.
I still wouldn't call it AI.
We all are. Didn't you realize? Beeps Beeps.
Hey, would you have shared your girlfriend to the public
Ok don't answer that.
Moti can you record a conversation with the help support and your program?
I'm anxious to see the custom service clerk reaction when he finds out that it's a program he is talking to.
P.S. Beep beep chzzz chhzzzhzzz .
Which half, the A or the I?
Actually if he turned out to be a chatbot, I would have to say it was quite a good one. Sadly I suspect he is human.
.
minitech you said error 1 is sentense error
then dekimasendeshita is couldn't have been
i don't get what you sayed by that
moti,
what language did you use to write this AI?
vb.net
vb.net 2008
(pst - if you watch the episodes with subtitles they spell it Hu-man. Yeah I'm a nerd. Sorry.)
After all, you cannot discount Rule of Aquisition #7. Keep your ears open.
I own all 11 seasons of Next Generation...I don't need subtitles and I took poetic license for effect so there http://www.vbforums.com/images/ieima...chmentid=37813
11 seasons hm?
4 seasons are what? Cartoons? =)
(I own the complete 7 seasons of Next Gen and of DS9 - which is where Quark comes from - the actor makes an appearance as a Ferengi in TNG, but not as Quark - Quark isn't seen till DS9)
Hieroglyphics then translated to Pig-Latin then translated to EnglishQuote:

How dare you get back on topic?
Of all the nerve...
I'm thinking you meant the Original Series plus TNG? That would be 11 seasons. I'm just trying to figure out where 4 seasons came from. (And was poking fun with the cartoons comment. I agree, I need to wash my mouth out. But Romulan Ale is contraband. I'll have to resort to Blood Wine. And I'll make sure to wear at least as much as I swallow - in good Klingon tradition.)
whats with the nerd festival ?
You know you're jealous. It's easy to be included though - just go watch some Star Trek. See you soon.
that show gave me the worst headaches
Sorry Lord.
TOS was only 3 seasons, not 4.
i'd rather study Entomology with the time it would take to watch that talky show
Dora the Explorer is also educational
Entomology? Then you'll love my new (de)bugging assistant:
Attachment 83224
Wow he's pretty effective too! He's pointing out that you're using a font that's not usually installed on client systems! That level of skill is impressive!
in the realm of war insects are the FINAL BOSS
of the final stage
You know you can edit you posts right? or was it only to give your statement more impact?
This entire thread is full of so much fail and so much win, all at the same time. The OP is clearly delusional, but it makes for great entertainment ;)
By the way, did anyone else see a post he made that said his AI made like 25% of his... uh... "battle programming book" or whatever that awful piece was called? After reading part of it, I can actually believe it ;)
weirddemon i consider you a rival not an enemy
the book is called battle programming 2011 3rd edition
I thought we'd be at LEAST up to page seven by now. I think a long rambling entry would help, but it is late and I don't feel up to it.
Please give up on your battle programming book, it depresses me to read it.
It doesn't teach you anything except for misinformation.
Care to give me a link? All I can find is torrents and I'm not supposed to download them on my current connection (even if legal).
I've seen the contents page though and it seems like this is a book I just HAVE to read, haha. 70 pages and it includes like 50 wildly different topics? That's gotta be good:bigyello: I especially look forward to 'HOW TO DESTROY A COMPANY THAT ANNOYED YOU'!
