And speaking of vista is evil, since when is it not possible to boot from a dynamic partition if it is the boot partition? I did this quite easily in xp but as soon as that drive was made dynamic in vista, it no longer was able to boot.
I've given up on Windows entirely... for now.
I like HP, ive had a laptop for 2 years, no problems...Quote:

You can't judge them by their printers. Their printers are horribly designed and much more complicated than they need to be (as well as microscopic cartridges). My current replacement motherboard i am using at this time (thanks to a bad bios flash) is an HP, and it's running as fast as the ASUS board i was using did.
It is unfortunate that this happened to HP. I remember growing up we had a HP LazerJet 5P. One of the best printers for it's time...
Vista = god :D
laser jets are good. my dad's got one. I use a brother though. It's black and white but we print a lof of black and white. It was a display model all-in-one. Only paid $60.

OK, but I usually like to build my own PC, just because it's so damn frustrating... :DQuote:

Alot of manufacturers do that nowadays. EG: My MSI ATI 2600 XT. You can't install drivers without installing Catalyst Control Center. Strangely enough, this requires .NET Framework (v. 1 I think...) which is not installed. Now, every time my machine boots up, it hangs for around 20 seconds before telling me that I need a .NET Framework. :rolleyes: I'm just too lazy to uninstall the app. :afrog:Quote:

Not exactly accurate. It contains their service packs. They still have to be installed already.Quote:
