As much as I believe I should continue my single handed boycott of this thread, I can't help but say something here.
I have been silently viewing this thread and am amazed at how people are still banging their heads against a brick wall trying to engage J4U into something resembling debate but well, I admire their persistance.
At least, I suppose, a couple of others have stepped in and are at least attempting to hold up the "pro Jesus" side of the argument (namely Redth and Tygur) so it hasn't been an entirely vain thread.
I would like to say that two very different issues are being confusingly intertwined, that of the existance of God, and that of the validity of the particular approach to God we call Christianity.
These are very different issues and I (IMHO) don't think they should be confused. The first being a more difficult and predominately philosophical discussion and the second being more of an issue of historical and linguistic interpretation.
Ah...I feel better now. I'm going back to my boycott! ;)
