Hum... maybe they should do it like this: you have to take a small test to proof that you know about the risks of taking drugs.
Then they give you a special card or something so you can consume soft drugs in cafes, like in Holland :)

And policemen should be able to ask for that card whenever they saw someone smoking or something. If that persone doesn't have the card, he should be treated as if he was consuming illegal drugs until they checked it in a special police database.
Would that apply to smoking a cigarette? Or drinking a pint? I don't think people would accept that sort of rule for cigarettes and alcohol so I don't think you could implement it. And If you only implemented it with the "newly legalised" drugs, you would give the impression that they are much more dangerous (which of course is a fallacy).Quote:

Problem:
Its easier to set up a forgery ring to forge these cards than it is to setup a drugs ring...

Nah, as long as they had their car's computer connected to a special police list with all the people that had the authorization it couldn't be forged (kinda like their list of all the wanted people) ;)

I use to smoke every day. Now just on Fridays. If i had a hook up then i probably would smoke more often. Over the years Guiliani (the mayor of new york) has cracked down on drugs in the city. I might actually try and go today to see if anyone is out. Maybe with the mayor change and all stuff has calmed down but i doubt it. :p

I think the real issue is mandatory minimums. But i guess the way the govt looks at it is the more time we put a small user in jail the more time is give tax payers to be forced to put money into the jail system.
i used to do weed, but ive (almost) stopped now.
i stopped smoking cos it was just plain stupid. i didnt smoke for that long anyway, so it was easy
weed is cool no side effects or anything
