Hey! You made 2K posts! Now you can also become a SPAMMER!
Who made 2K posts? I have the lowest amount of posts on this page and I'm on 2400.
Remix has a Custom User Title. That's what/who I was commenting on/to.
ive had 2000 for like 2 months now
Well, I noticed your title. Time to change it!
Nah im good ;D
Sorry to come and spoil the party. Unfortunaly the links in your sigs with referral ID's have to go. Linking to the sread Firefox site is still ok though as long as you take out the referral.
I have edited the first post. If you wish to promote Firefox please modify any referral links you may have to point to another site (I suggest getfirefox.com).
Got a new laptop with win 2k installed on it. Firefox works like a breeze. Need to know the extensions for tabbed browsing. Please help.

Great to hear how many people have converted to Firefox :)
my signature itself has convert a lot of all poor ignorant IE users IE users to Firefox....hehe....the best browser wins!!
Spybot found 146 viruses on my sister's computer. I reinstalled IE, but it crashed when I opened it complaining about USER32.DLL.
I installed Fx, and Windows Update started working again, loading about 60 updates! Stil had problems with IE, but showed her how to use Fx, and she seemed to like it.
I told her that all her kids should use would be Fx, and the reasons why.
I also removed LimeWire at her request.
if FF is not good..IBM will not enforce hundreds/thousands of its employee to uninstall IE and install FF...good huh?
dglienna, spybot doesn't find viruses afaik, "only" spyware, malware and the like.
Limewire's not bad. Pretty slow UI, but it works OK.
Seems every day I hear more stories in the media about organisations converting to Fx, or at least offering the option. A few schools seem to be doing it which is great.
OK. But I scheduled a VIRUS scan anyways. :)Quote:

I have converted tons of people to come to firefox, the only sucky part is that the more people that move to firefox, the more virus writers, and security issues it will have. People seem to hit whatever the most popular browser is.
Converted my college course leader :thumb:
w00t!
Converted my best mate :D
Luckily Firefox is fixed within a week of a major security issue and not within half a year :) And with the new trouble free automatic update... *drools* It updated my beta and I just needed to click "oh, you little furry thing did it all for me! *hug*" button to confirm restart.Quote:

Well, at least they are taking it seriously, rebuilding it from scratch  Can't see M$ doing that with MSN :DQuote:

I had to resurrect this thread (seeing as the IE thread has somehow arisen from the dead :p). Recently been doing some XHTML/CSS work and realised that Internet Explorer doesn't support CSS 2 or XHTML at all. Imagine my face when I open my beautiful hand-coded work in IE. <div> blocks scattered all over the page at random instead of displaying as tables. Urgh.
I cannot believe Microsoft force this load of crap on all new Windows/computer users and let them believe that it is the way to view the WWW. It is so bad that if it has to be shipped with Windows at all it should come with a warning. "This product is a critical security risk and is incapable of displaying standards-compliant web pages correctly."
And to believe that there are those that actually believe IE is a superior browser. I challenge those people to show me an aspect of IE that is superior to Firefox. And don't say ActiveX or any of that buggy virus-laden rubbish.
Get Firefox. You'll never look back, especially if you've seen any attempts at modern pure-standards web coding rendered in IE :D
Edit:Just installed 1.5. Not a great difference, but noticeable improvements to the UI. Tab Mix wasn't compatible, still can move tabs around but not sure whether that is a feature of 1.5 or another extension I have ("Duplicate Tab"). UI also seems more responsive.
Just imagine if all the work that has gone into Fx in the past few years had also gone into IE - then we'd actually have a browser war. As it is, there is absolutely no competition. Firefox the hands down winner - congratulations to the Mozilla crew on a great product! :D
Hear hear!
