It seems to me that if you're producing a professional product that you will be selling than you would be better suited to pay professionals for services rather than solicit free services.

I use that sentence when I'm looking for a real good price. I normally am able to convince people to give me real low rates using this method. We could have developed the website ourselves but the problem is that the amount of features we require couldn't be achieved by us.Quote:

im not trying to scalp anyone, Im trying to get a good price. And forget about the investor talk for a while... we'll fund it ourselves unless someone is really interested. Its hard to convince people these days. The closest we got to getting someone was when someone asked to prove that I was not 5 years old... lol. The reason we are looking for someone like that is to support an advertising campaign. I have already spent a lot of time and money into this project especially in all the research work I have done and how many anti cracking techniques we have experimented with. Just hope that they dont prove futile and so far, I believe we are in for something as none of the people we hired or challenged has been able to crack it.Quote:

maybe someone good with Hex can do something with it. It's a .exe but view it in a Hex editor. (it wont open as a .exe)
I'm gonning to see if i can do the same with calc.exe

HINT: A.A is an exe but is encrypted. Maybe you could bypass it by debugging it
Cool, i sorted the hex code out for a.a, it now has the same icon and stuff. a decompiler reconized it and gave me stuff but the source, i suppose now all i have to do is rip the 'error on run' out of the Hex to by pass it.
God, windows still hangs up when looking at the resources so it cant all be all decrypted.
im annoyed, very annoyed, since this thread started ive been having trouble sleeping... shame on you!

otherwise its all scambled stuff... but theres a way i could make it say what ever i wanted, and the ways are:
Using you own product to encrypt the label i want and just paste it in to the hex.
or
find out how its encrypted.
Using your own software would be the easiest way, kinda like it is it's own worst enemy.
Let's make 1 thing very clear here: 100% protected or secure does NOT and I repeat - does NOT - exist.
Just disassemble the file, trace every step the cpu takes and see what it does... May take a few hours or even days or months, but finally anyone can get there (with the right tools).
If the CPU (your own computer) can "unscramble" it, it means YOU can. But because CPU's are thousands or a few million times faster than any normal human being it would take 'some' time longer. But in the end it's just a lot of zero's and ones being added/substracted/or-ed/x-or-ed/and-ed/not-ed and shifted left or right. There's no CPU than can do something a human can't. They just do it (a heck of a lot) faster...
CPU's are invented by humans... get it? If you say your computer can do something you can't, isn't that like saying you're computer is smarter than you?? I hope mine isn't...
So just be careful, and: "Never say Never" ;)
I knew a guy (;)) who managed to instal a couple of copies of office 2000 on different computers like that. He just called up MS and said "I had to erase my computer because I cought a virus and now this darn thing is saying my instal code is incorrect" and they reply, "sorry sir, you new code is" and eventualy he has a list of codes.Quote:

good work sacaren.. i really thought no one could do it and u exposed a securiuty flaw - u can edit the resource section which is not encrypted. We never thought this would make much of a difference as the runtime procedures would be encrypted anyway.
We are working on a counter crack that will take care of this security flaw and we will have Software Cracker Challenge #4 out by monday which would be a full trial ware system. U can either attack the data source, the exe or the lockx ocx! making it more fun. We should have it out by Monday
