In the span of 11 years, 115 people died in weightlifting accidents at the gym.
In the same 11 years, only one person died from eating a donut.
Make better choices!
I was hoping it would rain like cats and dogs today since it's so freakin' hot, but this thunder I heard produced nothing. The storm passed us by from a distance.
We've gotten a boat load of rain (correct scientific term).
I guess that's pretty dependent on the size of the boat. :)
Been seeing that Europe is having a pretty bad heat wave. July and August is always one long heat wave around here but we are built for it. All the homes and businesses have AC. As long as it doesn't breakdown we're fine. I remember as a kid living in homes without AC, it sucked. Not sure I could survive that again.
I remember being there being parts of the building in my elementary school that didn't have air conditioning, but I don't remember it being bad either.
It could also be that I was a child and creature comforts didn't matter to me as much.
The worst part of 100+ when your a kid is trying to sleep. Other than that, your a kid and life is an adventure.
Damn, it's hot today! 97 degrees!
And the next two days is gonna be almost 100!
I've seen where Europeans are experiencing a bad heat wave.
I've also seen where a good percentage of Europeans don't have air conditioning, which just blows my mind.
Yeah, here AC is a given. Our average temp in July and August is @97, with days of 110 a possibility.
I think HVAC businesses around here don't have to worry about AI. lol
Been checking out Shaggy's bike trip journal now and then. Actually saw a picture of him on it today. It was sort of what I was expecting, then again it wasn't. Kind of strange to see what someone looks like after years of interacting with them only with writing.
I tried Googling for Shaggy's journal and found this gem:

Mais la! Il fait chaud aujourd'hui.
The site is "cycleblaze" and his journal is called "the slow road". Here is the link,Quote:

The journal entry is at the bottom "The Windswept Summit of Mount Trashmore"
My son caught his first flounder last week. Oddly enough, it didn’t really fight him when he hooked it.
Every flounder I have ever caught takes off down to the bottom and gives me the fight of its life. His was just sort of like "ok, you got me"
