They have the courrier du Mardi Gras which is where people dress up and chase a chicken and track down ingredients to make a gumbo. It’s definitely one of those things that if you want an authentic Louisiana experience that you should attend.
We’re going to the Gheens (pronounced “gains”) parade on Tuesday and they have a tradition of whipping the kids until you say the magic word, which I have conveniently gotten temporary amnesia until after the parade so my kids won’t know :bigyello:
