Sounds more like your wife would get pissed at you.

Your wife will be handling the sides? Guess you SHOULD take that turkey out.
Deep fried turkey is awesome, so long as you don't burn your house down. That is NOT awesome.
I'm doing a ham. I might be doing a bit of food poisoning, first, though. We'll see tomorrow. Not feeling right, at the moment.
Ohh, I had something this past weekend. Started last Wednesday and by Saturday I was really hurting. Sunday, I told my wife that if I wasn't feeling better that I would call in sick. Then Monday I woke up just fine like nothing ever happened.

I did not sleep well last night. Whenever I fell asleep, I would start making lists. Lists of words, lists of objects, just lists of everything. I'd then count the items in the lists, then subdivide such that I was counting things like suffixes, word length, and so on, then I'd count those lists. I'd then wake up and my feet hurt. I'd focus on my feet for a couple seconds, they would stop hurting...then I'd go back to sleep and repeat the sequence. Every half hour for hours. It was not restful.
Maybe that was your inner Santa coming out. Making a list and checking it twice. :)
Happy Thanksgiving!
Get back in the kitchen, you got work to do. :)
Happy Thanksgiving.
Guess I'm skipping Thanksgiving. I'll do something in a day or two.
I'm still down. Haven't eaten much in the last two days. No symptoms other than a fever that runs hot and cold. I'll be shaking so hard my ribs hurt, then I'll be sweating profusely a few hours later.
That sucks. Stay hydrated, that's all the advise I got. :(
Good luck
I hydrated the holy hell out of my bed last night. I was apparently drenched with sweat throughout the night. I considered getting up and changing the sheets at midnight, but realized I'd also need to take a shower to make it worthwhile, and even then, I'd probably just keep sweating....which was true, because I flipped the pillow over and both sides were soaked by morning.
It worked, though. No fever and I'm feeling fine.
Taking it easy today. Might do Thanksgiving dinner today. I basically haven't eaten for the last three days.
Not feeling woolly, either.
I read an article yesterday about research of why we run a fever when we have a virus infection. It sort of said that the fever is fighting the virus and it might be better not to grab the Tylenol. But their not sure exactly how the fever works. There's basically two theories. One, the heat helps kill the virus. Two, the heat triggers the immune system the work harder against the virus.
I probably got that all wrong. But I just happen to see the article not long after reading your post and it caught my interest.
