Right, just finished setting up a Yealink Conferencing system in one of our Meeting-rooms.
It's one of those "MS Teams"-capable thingies.
The bundle also had a Camera, Soundbar and 2 extension microphones.
It was running, i was testing.....
.... when i noticed the camera following my movements (testing different spots in the Meeting room if microphones catch everything)
That was just creepy......
I expected to see a red light in the camera lens....
"I'm sorry, Zvoni. I can't do that"
..would have pulled the plug, immediately ....

I want to say that Macs do that out of the box.
There's also some stupid stuff with them too, like if you raise your thumb Teams will do a thumbs up animation. Not really appropriate when the chief architect is listing the things going wrong and he starts counting from his thumb.
I think it depends on whether you count people writing the actual code, or people who went on to form a business around that. I'd be surprised if an individual coder, who was still in the trenches, got paid at those levels.Quote:

I guess I'd have to say that I'm not surprised. The cost of living is high in some places, and certain skills are quite rare. Combine those two and that upper end doesn't seem unreasonable.

Shoot, it's cold here. It was in the 70s all week, but then last night it dropped down to the low 40s and this morning it dropped down to 29 with a "feels like" of 21! I did my nightly walk last night and that wind would cut you right down to the bone.
I'm in Albuquerque. Should have taken that left.
I recently found out that MeTV (a free over the air tv station) does Looney Toons on Saturday mornings and one of the last Bugs Bunny ones they did last week used that line :D

I'm waiting for the weather to decide whether or not.
It's not quite warm enough to be spring, but too warm for cross country skiing. Might make it up one more time on Thursday. On the other hand, we usually get one last bout of cold and snow just after I put the skis up for the year.
My maple tree thinks it's spring. It's blooming, which it should not do. That's overly optimistic.
