Ohhh, that one took me a moment.
And now we're onto a new page.
I asked a question in a meeting, yesterday. The point was mostly to make a pun, but I spent so much time embedding the pun into a reasonable question that I believe it went over the heads of the several dozen people in the meeting without them even realizing it wasn't a totally serious question.
Well, it WAS a serious question, it just had a really fun play on words in it, and it blew past the audience without them even noticing.
Not I. My page sizes are enormous, so I’m towards the bottom of page 1160.
Young salmon are called parr. There was a study conducted to see whether or not exercising the fish would increase their survival. To that end, some obstacles were added to a raceway to create different velocities, thereby challenging the fish a bit. This was unusual, which means that it wasn't par for the course to have a course for the parr.
Oh no. I just scroll a lot. On desktop, it's easy. Just hit the end key. On mobile press and hold the scroll bar and go all the way down.
Odd, I scroll a bunch, too, but I'm on page 1740, so far fewer per page. I don't remember setting that...but I have been here a time.
Expected: Perhaps a dusting of snow, or just rain.
Result: A few inches of heavy snow, the greatest accumulation of the season.
That’s awesome!
Now the sun is out and it's all melting off. I shoveled my sidewalk, and that of my neighbors on either side. That's always a bit of a puzzle. If you shovel the sidewalk, whatever remains will certainly melt, and it has, but if that leaves the sidewalk wet, then it will turn into a sheet of ice overnight. The sidewalks can be so slippery in the winter that I tend to walk down the road on my way to and from the gym. With almost no traffic when I go, the road is safer than the icy sidewalks. By this point, it's such a habit that I tend not to walk on the sidewalks during the summer, either.
The left side of my car currently looks like it got vandalized by blind graffiti artist after it got sprayed with liquid salt two days ago. There was no way for me to avoid this brine truck driving in the opposite direction that was spraying both sides of the road. I slowed down in hope he would at least lesson the pressure of the sprayer when he passes me, but he didn't! My car wouldn't look so bad if I would've maintained the speed limit.
Did it take the paint off the side? We have salt trucks out here, but they don't spray with any force, and it's just downwards, not sideways.
Excellent morning of skiing. The conditions were almost perfect...except that the skies were gray and snowing lightly, which meant that it was very hard to see topographic relief. Not much to complain about, though. I hope this lasts for a couple weeks. It won't but I can hope.
Germany's basically Switzerland, right? I just assumed you skied (skid?).
