People will have to go to the bar for me to as I can't get in and out of chairs as well as I used to, the old war wounds an such.
So, are all these Midlanders coming, or are they just going to continue carping on about how they've been categorised as Brums?
We've got a few people on the list now.
Ok, then people, show of hands - who's in 'in principle', we can thrash times and dates out later...
ME!!!!!!!!
Well I'm in Stevenage, but count me in anyway ! :D
I'll have to wear my protective anti-northerner suit, but count me in
Protective Anti Northerner Suit?
That's just an excuse to wear a dress isn't it....

Is a visit to a strip club planned?;)
Count me in. The Ibis is definitely open and the sign says £35 Fri-Sun nights. It's on the corner of Princess Street and Charles Street.
Did someone mention a strip bar earlier ? Fantastic, although I'll have to get my pacemaker tuned to cope with it ( I'm an elderley 31 ). Can we get a double wheelchair like those double baby buggy things for me and Gary then you young 'uns can wheel us around in style ( and some young ladies to sit in our laps and feed us our beer ? ) ahhh ... heaven.
Good to see you back ( part-time ? ) Si
Im sooooooooo bored...and I just cant keep away. Plus if you have read my post in post race....I think some people will see whats coming...Quote:

I think we're going to have to treat everyone to a trip to the Hollywood Show Bar in this pub crawl.
Gary,
Are you working on a route for the crawl?
I didn't think you could get in unless you bat for the other side ? Canal St. sounds good though, not too far from Long Legs and lots of young student girlie types to look at.
You can get in, I was dragged in on Saturday, but I was with a horde of Dykes. Should be an eyeopener for most people ;)
Canal Street is the start of the Gay Village isn't it?
In fact I met Gary and IanP in Spirit last time, and that's on Canal Street isn't it?
My city centre geography's not too hot....
My knowledge of Manchester geography is restricted to Deansgate area, Spring Gardens area, and Market Street area (Aflecks Palace:D)....
I've only been there about 3 times, and haven't got a clue where anything is, plus my general sense of directions crap, so I'll probably meet you all there about a week after we arrange a date ...
I hear mossides got quite a few nice, quiet pubs with freindly people ...
Don't you pommies ever go to sleep. It's 5.30pm downunder EST, and your countrymen having been posting since 7.45am:eek:
We are the superior race.
You Aussies are inferior.
You will be assimilated!!!!!!
*ahem*
sorry.....
I was going to say it's because there's something important to sort out, like beer. But I like Arbiter's answer better.
All hail, er, Northerners !
I like the way you guys live under delusions:) Must be all the rain and having *shudder* Leeds in your country. Ok got to log, its drinks o'clock, that magically time of the day:)Quote:

The only problem I have with the HollyWood Show bar is that it plays 80's music, and in my book the 80's should be erased from history!
I would therefore be approaching my 13th birthday, and be unable to be served...
We could always gather on the street corner with a couple of bottles of cider.
Don't forget the white lightning!
OOOOOOOOkkkkkkkaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy!;):pQuote:

* old man dodders into view *
"The youth of today ! Wasn't like that in my day, people had respect for others. We didn't go drinking in the streets - didn't have streets, just mud, mud for miles all around. Bored ? We didn't know what boredom was. Oh no, we got collera and TB and other interesting diseases ... Those were the days."
* wanders out of view mumbling about air raid shelters and sheep *
eeeehhhh when I was a lad, we used to play wi' our stick an 'oop!
Cholera? You lucky bastard! We'd 'ave killed to 'ave a good does of cholera.
We didn' even 'ave air raid shelters we used to 'ide under the sheep! 'Corse - that was what we claimed anyway....
