No, it will take a couple of years at most for them to make their software compatible with Vista. Usually large software manufacturers prepare their software by tersting it on beta versions so when theRTM comes out they are ready with just a few minor updates.
True .. yeah a S Korean Manufacturer makes the actual hardware, and provides an SDK (probably a customised version due to purchase volumes) to the Taiwanese Software Company (GeoVision) .. they then do their own Additions and Update their software, and so yeah it normally takes a while as it is for a product released by the manufacturer, to actually become available to us. The good thing is, even though its a long wait, it is worth it in the end, as their products, software, and drivers, are all very stable in the end. :)Quote:

Microsoft released a tool called Interop Forms Toolkit 1.0 that allow vb6 programmers to run .net forms.
This way Microsoft explains one can slowly export vb6 based legacy apps to .net or indirectly to vista.

I remember many years ago, when I went from DOS to Win 3.11... I was running PDS 7.1, and it was fine under 3.11... then a little while later, when I went to Win95, PDS 7.1 slowed a little... the screen rewrites were just a little slower... It wasn't long after that that I converted over to VB5.
I still have a copy of PDS 7.1, but I don't think I have used it in about 5 years... I was designing software that would control a lap counting system for RC car racing. I was doing it in DOS because, at the time, many RC tracks could not yet afford newer Win based machines, so DOS was the thing... my track closed... life moved on...
Rob,Can we use a COM based dll in a c# app.I built an app in vb6 that uses an encryption library .Is it possible to implement that library in vc#??
