Go for it. When I get my own computer, I'll start back on it myself. ;)
Datacide,
How do you plan on taking it over? I mean yeah, some of out code is still sitting around, but we started out having no idea what we were doing and were just learning along the way (which was a good thing). I would say it would be a lot easier to draw up your own plan and start your own project. But that is just my 2 cents.
wow, i cant wait till it is finished! i want to be a LightFusion Programmer!
Read the last few pages.
yea, i know, i was being sarcastic :D
Doesn't mean that the project is dead. I work on it every once in awhile when I'm bored with game physics. I still have that compiler book and I didn't pay $70 for nothing.
well when it does come out, i want to be a LightFusion Programmer :) .
Port it to Linux. :D
Is there .NET support for Linux? :ehh:
From what I've heard there is but its extremely buggy.Quote:

Well, evidently we weren't aware of that at the time. I am not sure where the ™ symbol came from, but no attempts were ever made to formalise the name as this project never eventuated into an actual product. So trademarks etc. were not properly checked. But thank you for your concern.
Also, no other Lightfusion's appeared on a Google search at the time we picked the name.
Ok its no problem I just let ya know as incase you were thinking of letting it out or soming like that.
No worries, but it's dead as a rat under a B-double semitrailer.
lol :P
There just aren't any subtleties with you Penegate. Are there?
Now that I got a new, fast, and up to date computer, I will continue to write LightFusion. Might start from scratch.
Have fun. :)
I'm too busy with school and my own job to work on it. If you need any of the IDE I started, let me know. I still have the code around.
Your busy? I work 2 fulltime jobs and take care of my girlfriend. Plus I'm going back to college this January. And I still find time to write Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter, Light Fusion, Rigid Body 2D Physics engine, etc. ;)
If this project is going to start up again, i would not mind helping you Jacob, as I too own that compiler book.
PM me if you have any questions or talk with me here.
I would like to help in anyway i can.Quote:

Avoiding it completely would have LF run on all PC's. I still have an old version of Visual Studio. Any problems with this?
How exactly do you write a programming language though?
I have no problem with visual studio, but honestly, if we plan on writing a compiler we should probably base it off of a global C++ (such as Dev-Cpp, or Code::Blocks) because Visual Studio tends to make it's own spin-offs on things.
Just a suggestion.
Also, in response to DClamp, programming languages are not that hard to write, you just need dedication and the right tools and you can do anything. I would suggest picking up a book on compiler construction.
Also, Jacob, if we do continue this project, we should probably make a new topic becuase this topic has like 2 pages worth of stuff talking about how this project is ended. Just a thought.
