Morning All. Any religeous zealots in the house today say yeeeeaaaahhhh.
SD
Morning
except, of course, that should be afternoon...
Its slow going today...
Nobody...
...seems...
...to...
I'm here! :D Just passed my Assembly Language assessment first time! :D:D:D:D
Have you noticed a lot of "Server Too Busy" errors this afternoon??
I'm here, just semi-busy (like the server). Yeah, i'm getting more busy messages than the last couple of days, but not as bad as last week.
Next post should be number 14,000.
SD
Cool!! The 14000th Post! :D
Congratulation CyberSurfer on the assembly stuff. What processors do they teach you on these days?
SD
Neat! My first *000th post!!!
x86...it was just a really simple password checking program which hid the inputted data with "*" and threw you out after three wrong attempts...
Thats cool. It takes too long to program anything else in assembly:)
We did 6809E, and then 68000. x86 would have been far more applicable :(
SD
waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Yeah...I'll probably never use it again in my life, but it's a core module which I have to pass...Only one more Assessment for this module, too :)
Hey Katie, are you hiding from the post race today?
How's the errant son? Forgiven yet... or car less?
SD
Nope..not hiding...just keep having to stop to work *erkk* *pftt*
My errant son has continued to dig his hole deeper...I took away his shovel so he's decided to use his mouth!!!!!!!!! I am as fed up as a Mom can get and Dad has given up completely.....grrrrrrrrr!
Good plot recovery Katie!!:D
As for your son, why don't you put him on a diet of dry bread and water till he gets a job. And you guys can have pizza and all sorts of fun stuff just to bug him (I'm glad I didn't have to pass any sort of phsycological test to become a father!).
SD
He'll snap out of it if you make his life unpleasant for a while ;)
TO katie:
As a responsible parent,...
The last thing you would want to do is tease him...
young minds can be easily broken and can result in dire
consequences if they get access to weapons.
Keep all kinds of weapons away from him...
Even If you are not Interested in Encouraging him don't
ever try to tease him.... :(
We are DEFINITELY 100% a NON-weapons household.......completely against them as a matter of fact. I am teasing with you guys and I'm sure that all the "suggestions" were in jest, but I am not teasing Ian at all. He is being punished by taking away access to his car...he is quite upset by this but I need to do something!!!!!!
err, okay.... I knew that, [SD quickly erases his next post about branding him with a cattle iron]......Quote:

So Active, Parents take the car away from you by any chance?:) Thinking of killing them? Thats not natural behaviour you know:) Most kids (even American ones - despite what you see on the telly) don't turn out to be physco's.
SD
Besides, do you really think we would do such a thing to our kids. It's not like we're monsters or anything. I for one think I'm very patient with my child. I rarely beat her more than 2 or 3 times a week, and only when she deserves it (bed wetting, crying, not eating her greens etc.)
SD
Hey all!!
Morning Simon!!!
afternoon SD! waznu?
But What we hear about kids shooting each other at schoolQuote:

SD
is not normal either
The best thing in such cases is to be ..be good to him so
that he can reciprocate it to everybody ! ;)
Although it always seems to be American kids doing this...
I agree that what you hear about kids these days is quite alarming. As a parent....which I'm willing to bet you aren't Active...I know how difficult it is to be "good" to your kids when they don't return the favor. I think I am being good to him by taking away his car because it is my job as a parent to teach him that actions have consequences so that he doesn't go out and shoot someone when he gets mad but stops and thinks instead. If I just let him do whatever he pleased in an effort to be good to him I would actually be harming him. I'm not beating him or abusing him emotionally. I am trying to do my job right as a parent!!!!
That's becuase they have easy access to weapons and a lack a people who give a crap about them.Quote:

Okay, Dennis, time for your two-cents!
Yeah, but Dennis isn't a raving psycho with no sense of humanity
Yah, it does always seem to be american kids, but you've got to remember there are approx 350,000,000 americans (I think), so your talking (at a guestimate) 50,000,000 kids. You're sure to get a few nutters. Couple this with the availability of weapons in the USA and it's surprising that we don't hear about more schoolyard slayings.
In Britain the kids don't have access to weapons so you don't hget it happening so much. The obvious exception being Dunblane, but that was an adult.
SD
I consider that to be a good thing, because let's face it -- you don't need weapons. The military need them, fair enough.
Normal people don't.
Me..Parent..huh.. I'm just 21.. :D
Does dennis have access to Gun ? OMG..His parents must be kidding :(
Raving psycho, yes.......no sense of humanity, no.;)Quote:

Dennis also has people who give a crap about him and seems to know the difference between right and wrong! But he does have an alarming amount of weapons!
Well, like they say, it's people that kill, not guns.
Agreed. One of the things I really like about Canada is it has much tougher gun legislation than the states.Quote:

There's a saying, "spare the rod and spoil the child," which seems appropriate.
Hello there people.
Howdy Harry! Why aren't you studying? You have an exam tomorrow as I understand;)
Howdy Harry!
Evening. I'm just sitting here avoiding the revision really. Business isn't exactly my specialist subject. Exam's on Friday, so I got tomorrow to do it too.
Did I miss anything incredibly exciting today?
It appears that you have given the MP3s from the boy bands to Merlin and he is readying to do something with them in the "here's and idea" thread.
Not really
This place is so quiet... where did that biblical nutter go? I was having fun and then he went and left :(
There were a group of naked lesbian nymphomaniacs in earlier, but you missed them :D sorry.
SD
*Sigh* again? I hate when that happens.
*Ahem* My collection of boy band mp3s? Err... I'm not sure that this story is putting me in a favourable light.
It's your turn round the humiliation spectrum :D
want some fun?
